英文の間違いの箇所を探す問題
次の文章に間違っている箇所が１つあります。 Please help me decide which of the two activities to choose - going to the theater with John or to attend tonight's dinner dance at the hotel. 間違っている箇所を 直さないといけないんですけど、 その間違いの部分は to attend で、正しい答えは attending で合ってますでしょうか？ また、この文章の訳は 「ジョンと映画館に行くか、 ホテルでの今夜の夕食のダンスに出席するか という２つの活動を選ぶのを手伝ってください。」 で良いでしょうか？

こんにちは。 (1) to attend で、正しい答えは attending で合ってますでしょうか？ 、、、これはその通りだと思います。片方が動名詞、もう一方がTo不定詞ではカッコ悪いという話ですね。 (2) 「ジョンと映画館に行くか、ホテルでの今夜の夕食のダンスに出席するかという２つの活動を選ぶのを手伝ってください。」 、、、これはちょっと違うようですね。which of the two activities ですから、「二つの活動のどちらか（which to choose）」と聞いているみたいです。「ジョンと観劇に行くか、ホテルでのディナーダンスに参加するか、これら二つのイベントのうちのどちらを選んだら良いか助けて欲しい」ですね。つまり、これを言った女性は、「二者択一」の難しい選択を迫られているようです。両方とも魅力的なイベントですよね。 細かいことですが、「映画を観に行く」は通常 go to a movie と言いますね。なのでご質問文の場合には「劇場に行く ⇒ 観劇に行く」ということだと思います。 ご参考までに。

すいません、少し長いのですが２つ質問があります。まずこの文を見てください。 I need you to help me choose a hotel closer to where you live in yokohama.I am seaching for hotel I will use when I come to Japan but I really want a hotel that will be near your place or anywhere you think is suitable.I have not decide the date yet but I want to make reservation so it will be easy when I decide. But I hope to be less busy late next month or early January or when do you think you will be free so when I do come down there you will not be so much busy in other for us to meet because I'm really coming to see you...hehe.Wow that will be great,I can't wait!
