Do you know? と聞かれた時の返答として、 A: I really don't know. と B: I don't really know. とでは、どのようなニュアンスの違いがあるのでしょうか？ 何となくは分かる(気がする)のですが、スッキリしません。 どうぞよろしくお願いします。

下記の例文に出くわしました I know a man building houses. 上記の文章って不適切な気がしたんですが、どうでしょうか。 もしくは意味が通る解釈ってありますか？ 普段から家を建てる男の人を知っていると言うなら I know a man who build houses. 今まさにその家を建てている男の人（複数人が作業中でその中の1人）を知っていると言うなら I know a man building the house. が適切だと思いました。
