「応募する」「j公募する」の訳
いろいろ辞書で調べて「応募する」の訳として、 仕事などに応募する時は apply for the job 懸賞に応募する時は take part in the prize competion コンテストなどに応募する時は enter for the contest なのかなと自分なりに考えたのですが、あっているでしょうか。 動詞の使い分けがとても難しいです。どれにもapplyを使っていいような気もするし、どのように使い分けたらいいのでしょうか。 それから「公募する」は、 invite public participation と辞書にでていましたが、 「～のメンバーを募集する」はinvite members of~ でよいですか。これに対して～のメンバーに応募するはapplyを使っていいですか。enter やtake part inはおかしいですか。 教えてください。よろしくお願いします。

就職の応募、懸賞の応募、コンテストの応募、全部でこれで良いですよ。 「メンバーを募集する」「メンバー募集キャンペーンを張る」 は We are now recruiting a new member for our club. 今新しいメンバーを募集している。 We are going to run a member-recruiting campaign soon. もうすぐ新入生募集キャンペーンをやるんだ。 それから「公募する」は、 invite public participation で良いと思いますが、具体的な「募集するモノがはっきりすれば」もっと書きやすくなる気がします。 公募する、、、、「環境保護キャンペーン標語を公募する」 The city is inviting public slogans for enviromental protection. The city is putting out a call for public slogans for the next year's enviromental protection campaign.

大まかに分けると以下のようになります。 apply for:（自分から）志願する。 →入学、就職等の志願者：an applicant(for)～ entry:懸賞、競技へ応募、参加する。 response,answer:広告などへ応募する。 求人を公募する：advertise for 出演希望者は一般から公募しています。 We have advertised for people who want to take part. We have invented applications from those who would like to perform. （新会員を）募集する：recruit チームの新会員を募集しています。 We have recruited new members for our team. ご参考までに… >これに対して～のメンバーに応募するはapplyを使っていいですか。 一般的には"apply for"です。 >enter やtake part inはおかしいですか。 "i'd like to enter/take part in ～"のように使います。

来年９月からカナダの大学のあるプログラムに応募しようとコンタクトを取ってみたのですが 大学からの返信が you have to be a BC resident in order to obtain admission, this would mean that you need to reside in BC for at least 12 months prior to the program start date. If you are looking to apply for September 2014, you would need to be residing in BC by September 2013 as a Permanent Resident or Citizen of Canada. と最低でも１２ヶ月前にその州に在住する事を求められているのですが なぜ１年前なのでしょうか？ また１年前の時点で市民権や永住権を得ておかなければいけないのでしょうか？ よろしくお願いいたします。
