この文って
『海外で日本に関することを研究している人は少なくないし、日本人以上に日本のことを知っている外国人はけっして珍しくない』という文を英作するんですが。。。。。 Quite a few people research about japan in foreign countries and it's not unusual for foreign people to know more about japan than japanese people. これって通じますか？あと『決して』というのをどのように入れたらいいでしょうか？

お書きになった英文で十分通じるでしょう。ただし、より自然な英文にすることもできそうです。 【research about】 researchは自動詞ですので後ろに前置詞を続けることができますが、専門的な研究などの場合にはaboutよりもonの方が良いでしょう。 さらに自動詞を単独で用いるよりも、リズムなどを考慮して名詞を用いた熟語にすると良いでしょう。 例１： He dreamed. → He had a dream. 例２： She walked in the park. → She took a walk in the park. 例３： They researched on something. → They did research on something. → They carried out research into something. 【in foreign countries】 修飾する語句と離れていると関係が見えにくくなります。前に移動させましょう。 【it's not unusual for foreign people...】 foreign peopleを使うと、「外国の人が一般的に知っている」という感じがします。個別に表現するためにsomeoneにしてはどうでしょうか。（「珍しくない」とはいっても、決して「多い」ということではなさそうです。「時には（orよく）見かける（出会う）」ということでしょう。） 【例文】 There are not a few people in foreign countires who carry out some research on Japan, and we sometimes/often meet someone who knows more about Japan than Japanese people.

通じますけど、文法上の間違いがあります。researchは他動詞なので、後に直接、目的語をつなげればよいのです。つまり、aboutは不要です。 Nativeでも多いんですよ、discuss about とか mention aboutとか言うやつ。 決しては、it is far from unusualにしては、いかが。

It is because I think it would be more meaningful to tell it rather than temporary fashions. There are two things which especially I want to tell about. First is Origami. It is unique to japan. Although it is difficult, it would enable us to communicate with each other. I think foreign people would enjoy it very much. Second is Japanese foods. Recently they have been spreading widely, but there must be much more Japanese foods which aren't known to foreign people. I want to tell wonderfulness of them. Therefore, Japan was quite unusual in having few working poor in the past. 中３の英語教科書でこのような文があったのですが、knewの後にｉｔが付かないのは何故なのでしょうか。 「 These days, many foreign sumo wrestlers can speak Japanese quite fluentiy. But most of them knew little when they came to Japan. 」 彼らの多くは（日本語を）ほとんど知らなかった（a little じゃなくってlittleだから）、と言う意味合いで良い、と思うのですが、それならば日本語を指す代名詞「ｉｔ」が必要なのではないだろうか、と言う疑問です。 この文を見て、「そう言えばknowを使った文ではたまにｉｔを抜いたものがあるなぁ」と気付いたのですが、よくよく思えば他の動詞ではこのような前の文の代名詞を抜いたものって無いのでは？ｋｎｏｗって特別な用法でもあるのかしら？とどんどん深みにはまっております。 そこで、質問なのですが （１）なぜ上記文でitは不要としているのでしょうか。 （２）knowで、指示代名詞（今回ならｉｔ）を抜いてよい時の見抜き方 （３）ｋｎｏｗと同じように指示代名詞を抜いて使う動詞は他にありますか？ の３点です。 ご教授頂けますよう、どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。
