>Just something to fill our stomachs is the best you could say about it. とありますが、この最後のitは、何を指しているのでしょうか？原作では、この部分はどんな文章でしたか。 なぜ、こうこちらから聞くかと言うと、 ＞seafood curryはもうちょっと手の込んだ料理だけど、そんな大したものではなく「ああいう所のまずいアレ」だ、という、つまり料理によってtheを付けた方がイイ感じになる、と解釈していいのかどうかちょっと気になったんです。 とおっしゃっているからです。 Just something と続いている点から考えても、itで、原作が意味しているのはシーフードカレーと思えますが、原作はどうなっていたのかなと疑問に思うからです。 できれば、答えてください。

They usually go to the cinema and then to a restaurant for a late dinner. ここで質問です。最後の文で cinemaにはtheが付いて、restaurantにはaが付いていますが、これは慣用的なものでしょうか。それとも、映画館は毎回行く映画館が決まっているのに対し、レストランは 毎回行くレストランが決まっていないからでしょうか？前の文の gymの場合は、Cathyがそこの会員になっていて そのジムに毎週通っているというのが容易に察しがつきますが、、、。

Sometimes I eat in a Thai restaurant where there are a lot of curries called by colour. I am not into curries and I usually prefer more soft meals. Are Japanese curry spicy? Is it your favourite dish? Mine as probably I said before is katsudon. 特に called by colour の部分が分かりませんでした。 よろしくお願いします。

＞Just something と続いている点から考えても、itで、原作が意味しているのはシーフードカレーと思えますが、原作はどうなっていたのかなと疑問に思うからです。 「空腹を満たすための食事だ。」 だけです。それでこの部分は終わりです。この前にもカレーは出てきません。（この作家はこういうただ何か食べるだけの表現が多いんです） itは夕食だと思っていたのですが、カレーなんでしょうか？これはあまり考えませんでしたが、これで２人で分けて食べたようなニュアンスの訳になっている（？）のでしょうか。 私は最初このtheは無くても（あっても）いいと思ったのですが、もしかするとtheを付けずにチキン、シーフードカレーと続くとなんか一人だけマトモな物食べてるみたいな（大袈裟ですが）感じで、theが付くと仰るように「あのまずいやつ」を示唆し、チキン同様大したメシじゃない、という感じになるのかな、と想像したんですが、そんな解釈でいいのか？よくわからないんです。
