こんにちわ。 「私は(be～)すべき」では？？ 会話の中ではShouldは「ＸＸすべき」で使われることが多いかと思います。

英語の口語で What should I do? 私は何をしたら良いですか？ How should I do ? どうすればいいの？ Should I see this movie? この映画は観るべきですか？ という使い方は一般的でしょうか？ 受験英語ではshouldの疑問形はあまり見た記憶がなく、疑問に思っております。 宜しくお願い致します。

ドラマで見たshouldを使った言葉で、発言者の真意というか、どういうような意味合いで言っているのかがつかめませんでした。 (1) 女の子が誕生日にプレゼントをくれた友人の男の子に"That's so sweet of you! Can I give you a hug?"というと、男の子が"Yeah, you should!"と答えていましたが、これはよくある返答ですか？「当然だよ、自分はしてもらう権利がある」みたいにふざけていってる感じなのでしょうか？ (2)女の子が昔微妙な関係だった彼（お互い好きだったけれどつきあうまでいたらなかった）に道端でばったり会って立ち話をするのですが、そのときその彼が"We should get together and do something sometime."と言っていました。こういう場合のshouldは「べき」と訳すと変ですけど、彼は「会わなきゃ！」と強く主張している感じなのでしょうか？それとも普通に軽く誘っているだけでしょうか？Let's～. とかDo you want to～？と誘うときと何かが違う気もするのですが・・・ ※１と２は違うドラマです

“you ought to finish your work before going out.”“I know I should .” 参考書に、2人称・3人称の主語では、shouldは必ず強い助動詞の意味を持つと書いてあるのですが、上の文のshouldは助動詞ですよね？ Iが主語で一人称なのにどうして助動詞なんですか？？

中学で mustは「～しなければならない」、shouldは「～すべきだ」の意味だと教わりました。 どちらも、日本語では似たような意味だし、英語と日本語のズレも考えたら mustとshouldの違いは 訳語の意味の違いに還元できる問題ではないと思います。それについては、この間、関連する質問の とある回答で “I think it's only Japanese who treat "you should go" and "you must go" in the same way. Actually, it is not. It can't be, because "should" doesn't have any power to order someone to do something for your favor.” という一節がありました。 そこで質問ですが、mustとshouldの根本的な意味の違いって何でしょうか？
