andの使い方について
初歩的な質問ですみません。 メールを打っていて、ふと気になり分からなくなったので教えてください。 私は彼女がいつも私の周りにいて、見守っていてくれる気がする。 っという英文を作りたいのですが、 I feel like she is always around me and keeping an eye on me. で通じますか？andでつなげた場合、私は「she is」を省略していますが、andの後半の分にも最初の「she is」はかかりますか？ それとも、I feel like she is always around me and she is keeping an eye on me. っとなるのでしょうか？この英文自体がおかしいかもしれませんが、書きながら通じるのかな？っと不安になりました。 よろしくお願いいたします。

最初の英文のままでいいと思います。この文を読めばkeepingという分詞が前方のisに続くということ以外考えようがありません。したがってisに続くのがaround meとkeeping～だということになり、誤解されることはありえません。 厳密に言えばisの意味合いが多少異なりますが、そこまで考えなくて良いと思います。もしどうしても気になるなら、後半の部分にshe isでなくてisだけを付ければよろしい。

皆さんもおっしゃっているように、最初の文で大丈夫です。 が、keep an eye on someone という表現は、子供がいたずらをしないように、とか、情緒不安定な人が変な事をしないように、などネガティヴなニュアンスで使う事が多いです。天使のように見守る、というのなら、watch over someone を使って、I feel like she is always around me and watching over me. とした方がいいでしょう。

回答、ありがとうございます。キャーーーー！そうなんですね、ネガティブなニュアンスの強い表現だったのですね。。。しまった！（もうメールを送信してしまったので） 相手に私の意図は伝わるとは思うのですが、辞書を利用しても何個も言い回しがあって、解説も読んで選んだりするのですが、それだけでは適切な言葉が選べてないのが現状で。。。 アドバイス、ありがとうございます！
最初の文のようにsheは省略できますが、likeの後にコンマを打って区切った方がいいかもしれません。

FANBOY(For, And,Nor,But,Or,Yet) はcoordinateといって、S+V+O（independent clause）の入った節をこれで繋ぐばあい。 S+V+O +,coordinate+ S+V+O. →mary is 7 years old ,and Bob is 10 years old. →I don't like apple ,but I like sushi. となります。 しかし片方が独立した節でも、もう方が独立してない場合 S+V+O +coordinate+ S+V. →I like apple but he doesn't. →she hate Bob and Johne. とカンマはつきません。 もう一つは同じ種類の単語が3つ以上連続でつながったとき(and)。 SVO+,O+,and +O I like red ,blue ,yellow ,and black. でもこの時Ｏは名詞だったら名詞、形容詞なら形容詞ですべて揃えないといけません。 becauseやsince,as, althoughなどはsuboedinateといってカンマはつきません。 カンマと接続詞は一杯ルールがあって、ここでは言い切れないです＾＾； 少しでもやくにたったら光栄です０＾－＾０

どちらでも言いと思いますが、私はsheは２回いらないとおもいます。 私もand, butとかたまに ん？ってなるときあります＾＾； ちなみにSHEを付ける場合dipendent clause(s+v+oの揃っている、独立した節)なので、andの前にカンマをわすれずに０＾－＾０ｂ 細かくてすいません＾＾； お役に立てたらうれしいです★

So my partner and I have been in a rough patch for a while now. She is moving out for a month to get some space and figure out what she wants. I’m sad because I love her and when things are good, it’s the best feeling to come home to her. But I’m relieved because things are tense right now. I feel she doesn’t respect my boundaries. Her friend is over a lot. I’ve asked for a heads up, and at some points have said I’m not comfortable with her being sprung on me and sticking around late into the night when I have work the next day. But it keeps happening. Last night, I was exhausted and had been asking for some quality time with partner. But her friend came over instead. I ended up going for a walk in the cold and crying on a bench for an hour because I tried to say “no” to my partner, and she told me that she didn’t have a choice. I had a panic attack (I feel so silly, I shouldn’t be so sensitive), but I just felt so unimportant. Partner is so nice to them and wants to tell them every little detail, and in turn listens. Partner told me I was just being critical last night when I tried to explain why this is important to me, and that if I just told her about my day instead of being upset, there wouldn’t be an issue. But I want a say on who is in my/our space! I am mad! But I also feel like I am overreacting because we’ve both been pretty stressed.
