Don't forget to salt them. この場合のsaltは「塩をかける、塩を加える」という意味の動詞ですから、目的語として使う場合は、toをつけて不定詞にする必要があります。 You NEVER listen to me. この場合、listenは自動詞ですから、前置詞が必要です。 You NEVER listen me. という言い方は、listenが他動詞なら可能ですが、自動詞なので駄目ということです。 move me closer to the fire この場合のmoveは他動詞ですから、前置詞無しで目的語をとることができます。 いずれも、決まり自体は英文法の基本です。 自動詞と他動詞の区別はむずかしいので、間違えずに使いこなすのは、簡単ではありませんが。

You don't care about me no matter what happens to me.についてです。 You don't care about me「あなたは私について関心が無い」までで文が成り立っているように思えてしまいます。しかし続いてno matter what happens to meという名詞節が出てきます。no matter what happens to meがどのように働いているのか分りません。解説をよろしくお願い致します。 about meを取り去ってYou don't care no matter what happens to me.とすればno matter what happens to meはcareの目的語でSVOの文型かなと理解できるのですが、about meが入るとよく分らなくなります。

否定の命令文で、強い否定の命令を表わす場合に、neverを用いて Never tell a lie! （決して嘘をつくな） のようにしますよね。 また、否定の命令文に主語youをつけて Don't you forget it! （いいか、お前、わすれるなよ） というものもありますよね。 そこで質問なのですが、これらを両方使うことはできるのでしょうか？ 詳しい方、よろしくお願いします。

御回答をいあだきましてから、自動詞、他動詞について 勉強しております。 特にこの動詞だから、自動詞だ他動詞だというわけでなく、用い方によって、自動詞、他動詞 となることがわかってきました。逆に考えれば、 to が付いていれば、自動詞で、（ 操作なく勝手に ）動なった と 逆に理解できるのかなあと思いました。 ありがとうございました。 （用い方によって微妙ですが、感謝の意味の） Thanks a lot.
