Longman Dictionaryの記号の意味
Longman Online Dictionaryで「⇔」の記号が使われているのですが、この意味するところは何でしょうか。 work something ⇔ out to think carefully about how you are going to do something and plan a good way of doing it <https://www.ldoceonline.com/dictionary/work-out> # something と out の語順が入れ替わってもOK、という意味のような気がするのですが。 よろしくお願いします。

知っている単語や話をLongmanで調べて少しでも勉強をと思っているのですが基本的なことが解りません、簡単な物だと思うのですが自身がないので確認をお願いします LongmanでSnow Whiteを調べてみました http://www.ldoceonline.com/dictionary/Snow-White The stepmother sends Snow White into the forest to be killed. 上の部分の最後の be killed の部分なのですが、受け身なのかな？とおもったのですが 「義母はスノーホワイトを森の中へ殺される為に送った」 これは殺す為になら話は解るのですが殺される為にというのが意味が解りません、（誰に殺されるの？） be killedの部分の私の訳がまちがっているのでしょうか？

ネットで引っ越し先募集をしていて、部屋を持っている人からメールをもらったのですが、 “部屋を借りたかったら電話ちょうだい”、の後に we may be able to work something out 3 months only april till july という文がありました。 おそらく３カ月だけなら住んでもいいよ、、みたいな意味だと思うのですが work out の間に something が入っているので、他に意味があるのかと困惑してしまいました。 ちなみに、その人はもちろん知らない女性です。 調べても分らなかったので、どなたか教えていただけますか？？

Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English の中で、 attribute : to believe or say that someone or something has a particular quality の例文として "One should not attribute human motives to animals." が挙げられていたのですが、その例文の意味がいまいち良く分かりません。 「動物に人間のような（生きる？）動機があるとは考えるべきではない」という意味で合っているでしょうか？

和英辞典で「(ホテルの予約などを)確認する」とあり、英英辞典ロングマンでの語義は 3 to tell someone that a possible arrangement, date, or situation is now definite or official confirm a booking/reservation/appointment ですが、どうして「確認する」なのに tell なんでしょうか？ これだと「予約が確実だと誰かに告げる」みたいな感じになると思いますが… He comfirmed his reservation. 彼は彼の予約が確実だと告げた。 オックスフォードも 1 to state or show that something is definitely true or correct, especially by providing evidence ですので「確認する」とは思えないです。「確認する」なら to check or make sure that something is true or correct みたいなものになるだろうと予想していました。 回答よろしくお願いします。 http://www.ldoceonline.com/dictionary/confirm http://oald8.oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/dictionary/confirm

ドラマを見ていて、次の文章に出くわしました。 ----- How can you be certain it'll work? (どうしてうまくいくって分かるんだ?) ----- ふと疑問に思ったのですが、上記の文章は How can you be certain it's going to work? でもいいのでしょうか? 最近読んだ英文法の本ではis going toは予定が決まった（あるいは確実性のある）出来事に使う、とありました。 it's going to workにした場合、ニュアンスが変わるのでしょうか?
