１。推量の助動詞may＋未来の予定を表す進行形の組み合わせですが、単純に”may call”ではいけないのでしょうか？ 　いえいえます。 ２。”may call”だと「今はするかもしれないが先のことは分からない」が、”may be calling”だと、「（就職後）そのうちするかもしれない」という意味でしょうか？ 　おっしゃる通りです。未来だと、「電話するかもしれない」、”may be calling”だと、「電話しているかもしれない」と言う「今にも」と言う強めが入ります。

分かっている方には何でもないことかもしれませんが、こういった違いは本やWebサイトをみても（上手く調べられないだけかもしれませんが）今一違いが分かりません。最近はインスタントをやめてドリップ珈琲を飲むのを日課としているせいでしょうか。ありがとうございます。
