Risk of War: The Consequences of a Hard Embargo on North Korea
- Washington and its allies face a dilemma when considering a hard embargo on North Korea. While it is an effective measure to paralyze its finances and limit its capabilities, there is a significant risk of confrontations escalating into war.
- One of the key concerns in enacting a hard embargo is the fear of war by allies in Asia. The embargo, which involves blocking all shipping into and out of North Korea, can potentially lead to dangerous confrontations.
- The phrase 'could quickly escalate' refers to the possibility of confrontations escalating into war. It implies that if not handled carefully, the situation could spiral out of control.

He showed off his military prowess from an early age, rising quickly through the ranks of the French military, and he made a grab for power in 1799 in the wake of the French Revolution and eventually became the emperor of France.

As the APEC develops in confidence and global ambition, it will seek to create regional communities of interest.......

We have to consider it not, like the experts, in all its complicated detail but in its simpler outlines. And the picture I find emerging from these outlines is far from reassering. notが突然現れていて、こんな場所においていいのかなーと悩んでいます。 I am speaking now not of the industrial revolution that has been with us for the past two hundred years, but more precisely of technological revolution that has taken place in little more than the past twenty years. また、in little more than っていうのが、よく分かりません。 They found themselves cut off form the soil. The Second Red Scare was a fear-driven phenomenon brought on by the growing power of communist countries in the wake of the Second World War, particularly the Soviet Union. Many in the U.S. feared that the Soviet Union and its allies were planning to forcefully spread communism around the globe, overthrowing both democratic and capitalist institutions as it went. With the Soviet Union occupying much of Eastern and Central Europe, many in the U.S. perceived their fears of communist expansionism as confirmed. The U.S. also feared that communist agents had infiltrated the federal government.
