英語で「授業参観」は？

昨日、子供の授業参観に行ってきました。 ところで、授業参観て英語ではなんていうのかな～と思って辞書で調べたのですが、 下記の３つがありました。 (1) class observation day　 (2) classroom visitations (3) parents' day　 たぶん、class observationが一番日本語の授業参観に合うような気がしますが、違いがよくわかりません。 特に(3)のparents' dayはwebで調べると、意味が違うような気がします。 それとも、単にI visited my son's school.と言えばいいのでしょうか？ 分かる方がいましたら、教えてください。

ご指摘の通り「保護者の日（Parents' Day）」というのはありましたが、「授業参観」という習慣はなかったように思うので、 Yesterday I visited my son's school and joined the other parents to watch my son's class. 「昨日、息子が通っている学校を訪れ、他の保護者（父母）と共に息子の授業を見学してきました。」 でどうでしょうか。
