No. 2です。補足です。 ＞ つまりここでは、「私たちがそうしようと思えば」といった条件節が略されていて、 言葉が足りませんでしたが、条件節は省略されているので、状況次第で解釈はいろいろで、むしろこの場合、 「お客様がご希望のばあいは」という条件節が略されている、と解釈したほうがわかりやすいかもしれません（いずれにせよ、お客様のご希望の場合には、私たちがそうしようと思う、ということなので、両者はいわば同じことなのですが） ですので、こなれた訳としては、 「当方は、お客様のご希望次第では送料無料にすることもできます。でもその場合、それらのキットの価格は、170ドルの値段になります」 などとしたほうがしっくりするかもしれませんね。

こんにちは。 We could do free shipping but then the kits would cost $170. ここで注意すべきなのは、could, wouldと、過去形になっていることです。これらはもちろん、「無料配送にすることができた」「値段は・・の見込みだった」といった単純な過去形ではなく、仮定法過去なわけです。 つまりここでは、「私たちがそうしようと思えば」といった条件節が略されていて、 「私たちは（そうしようと思えば）送料無料にすることもできます。でもその場合、それらのキットは、170ドルの値段になることになります」 と、「通常そうはしないのだが、そういう選択肢もある」ということを伝えようとしているわけです（「それらのキット」が何かは私はわかりませんが、前後を読まれている質問者さんはおわかりなのだろうと推察します）。 前後の文脈がわかりませんが、おそらく先行する文章に、一般論として送料は有料でいくらいくらで、それらのキットは本来いくらいくらということの説明があるのじゃありませんか？

英語でいくつか質問します。 1, manage toという意味は何とか～するという意味で理解していますが、先日外国人からI have managed to logon PC but I have a problem with～という文章が送られてきました。知り合いの外人に意味を確認したところ、日本語で言えば私は、と私が、の違いだ、と説明されましたが、この場合のmanage toはそんなに深い意味はないということでしょうか？ 2, 次に、If S were to～という構文ですが、意味として可能性としてはあまりないけど、もし～だった場合という意味だと理解していますが、その次の文では、S would,(might, should) + 動詞の原形だと思うのですが、そこの文に、現在分詞を持ってこれるのでしょうか？知り合いの外人が、if we were to buy this stuff, we have been ～という文を書いていました。いかがでしょうか？ 3, 最後にshouldの意味です。～すべきのほかに、should be able toと使用すれば、～できるはずと訳せるはずです。ただ、shouldを単独で使う場合も～のはずと訳すときがあると認識しています。しかし、いつも自分は～のはずという意味でshouldを使用しているのに、Nativeの外人からそれは～べきという意味になってしまうので、使い方がおかしいと言われます。やはりshouldだけを使うときは、～べきという意味になってしまうのでしょうか？～のはずという意味になるようにするには、文脈で判断するしかないのでしょうか？ そしてshouldの違う意味として、可能性の意味があると思います。たとえば、do you think we should meet next week?と言ったら、来週会えるかな？となるはずですが、そこでdo you think we can meet? ではだめなんでしょうか？ニュアンスの違いがよくわかりません。 宜しくお願いします

Yes that item is still for sale. We don’t stock it so it would take approx 3-4 weeks to get a hold of. The cost is ￡769.20 including VAT. Delivery cost would depend on delivery address, if you could provide this to us then we could get you a delivery cost. Unfortunately we don’t deliver out with the UK. If you pay for the item in full and we have cleared funds you could then send in a courier yourself to collect the item.

That would mean that there is no additional custom import fee if the shipment is made for less than $100 US dollars or is under “gift”. If it is under “gift” and is lost in the shipping to the USA, would insurance cover the eBay price? If the EBay price IS covered for insurance if lost in shipping, I would prefer to do “gift”. If there is NO repayment if lost in shipping with “gift”, then I would prefer to do a dollar amount ($100) to cover if package is lost in shipping. -Do you know what the customs import tax for the USA is on $189?
