簡単に Your argument is not logical. Your argument is illogical. とも言えるでしょうけど、聞いたことがないです(ストレートすぎるので使う場面は限られると思います 私もちょっと恐いからnot logicalの方がちょっとぼけてる分だけ使いやすいです) 辞書には"筋の通らない"とばっちり書いてるんですが・・・

What you're saying doesn't have a leg to stand on. 等と言う慣用句も使えますね。 http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/have+a+leg+to+stand+on これにバリエーションで、You don't have a legal leg to stand on. の様に、「法律上」という但し書きとかを入れる事もできますし、without a leg to stand on というのもあります。

- 英語の文法について教えて下さい。
私は26歳女、趣味で英語を勉強しています。 お恥ずかしいですが、中一からやり直すつもりで、今はNHKのラジオ基礎英語1を地道に続けています。 でもある疑問がわきました。それは文法です。 例えば、 「あなたは調子が良さそうに見えないわ」 「You don't look well.」 これを例えば、 「You not look well.」と言ったりすると伝わらないんですよね？ 「Is something wrong？」も「What's something wrong？」と言ったらダメなんですよね。 教科書の例文は解っても、こういった応用が利かず、文法の順番も解らず大変苦戦しています。 私には向いていないのでしょうか？

似たようなシチュエーションの2つのダイアログがあります。 1. Doctor: You are a hypochondriac. Woman: Not taht as well! 2. Black man: Recently, I've bee wrestling with my identity. Psychotherapist: Does your being black have anything to do with it? Black man: Jesus - not that as well. ２つともどうやら笑い話のようなのですが、どこが可笑しいのでしょうか？ "Not that as well" とはどういう意味なのでしょうか？ どなたかご教示ください。

ebayで落札しました。いつも通りpaypalで払おうとしたら「Please enter the information in highlighted fields Your state does not match your ZIP code. Please correct this information.」と出て前に進みません。 初めての事でよく分かりません。今までは普通にすぐparpalで支払っていたのですが、ebayの不具合だと思い回復を待っていましたが、そろそろ５日ぐらいになるので自分に何か原因があるのではと思ってきました。 どうすれば問題が解決できるのか回答して頂けたら幸いです。

いつもお世話になっています。 私は英語が大の苦手でして英文の作り方がまったくわかりません（泣） なので例文を見ながら作っていました。が、わからないことがありました。usuallyについてです。 例文は He usually does not cook very well.（彼はめったにうまいものは作らない。）が例文でこれを見ながら下の英文をつくりました。 (1)ユミは日曜日はたいてい家にいます。 Yumi usually is home at on Sunday.と私は作りました。 答えはYumi is usually home at on Sunday.でした(>_<) どうして例文は（人）のあとにusuallyなのに、この問題はisのあとなのでしょうか。 本当に英語が苦手で基本的なことでもうしわけありません。。 よろしくお願いします。。

先日、アメリカ人の友達に、 「英語を勉強しに、アメリカへ行こうかしら。」 という内容のメールを出しました。 そこで、返ってきた返事の中の一部なのですが、 come to the states to study :) would love to see you! English is like no other here in the united states. taking time off might just be something that you ned to grow. It does not reflec your love for the language.
