んん、横・・・、「とおりすぎる」が正しい日本語ではないでしょうか？ というのは、（TaksがTakeのミスタイプだと仮定して）objectの右につけろと言っているわけなので、まあ、宇宙だから、右も前も同じだとしても、一応は「左右に並ぶ」状態になるわけですよね。その状態で距離は保つので、「右」から接近したり角度を変えたりする気はないわけです。 一方で、「横切る」ためには「前」を通る必要があります。しかしこの場合は、あくまでも「右」にいるので、それはできないと思います。映像を見ていないので何ともいえませんが。

横切るという解釈で合っていると思います。 「その右側にある物体まで連れて行ってくれ、だけど5000km以内には近づいちゃダメだぞ。そこを"横切って"みて何が起こるか見てみよう。」 このpastは副詞で「過ぎて/通り越して」という意味です。

私から "If you don't mind, I'd like to stay in touch with you" とメールしたところ 相手から "let's for sure keep in touch going forward" と返信がありました。 文の最後にある"going forward"は辞書で引くと”ゆくゆくは、将来は”という意味もあるようですが、そういう意味なのでしょうか？ それとも"go forward"の単純な意味である"前に進む"的な意味合いなんでしょうか…？

回答ありがとうございます。 「横切る」という、そもそも日本語の意味の方が不勉強でした。 確かにそう言われますと、そういう気がしました。 「猫が横切った」 というシーンでは、見ている人の前で、左から右へ猫が移動する、イメージですね。 Thank you very much for bringing this to my attention!
