Reporter:
"The Way" is absolutely blowing up. What is it like to have a hit song on the radio?
Ariana Grande:
Umm, it's very exciting. I urr, jumped a bit since I was a little girl, and umm, and it's you know, I had a tremendous faith in the song, but I didn't know it would be that ... big.
Reporter:
You know whenever I hear it, and I mean this is a compliment, I really do. But from the beat to your audio and everything, it sounds like you are chanelling a little Mariah Carey in there.
Ariana:
Oh thanks, umm I love her, and that means a lot to me. I take that as a compliment.
Reporter:
Totally. And how did Mac Miller get involved?
Ariana:
Umm, we were just, urr heading out one night, and I was like, "I need a feature on this song," and he was like, "It's a speed up(?) song," and I was like, "Well, thank you. May be you should urr, do a little something."
Reporter:
Yeah, do a lot of hers(?)
Ariana:
Yeah, and then it just happened. So, it's cool.
Reporter:
Well, great to see you. Congratulations.
Ariana:
Thank you so much.
