英作文で、前置詞などの質問です

こんにちは。 これは別に宿題とかではないので、「困っている」わけじゃないんですが、ちょっと質問させて下さい。（複数あります。） １．あなたは自分自身の希望より、集団の（それ）を最優先させなければならない。 を、ここでは一応subordinateを使って次のようにしてみたんですが、 You have to subordinate your own wish to those of the group. 最後のgroupって、group's　にするべきでしたっけ？ あと、他の部分はこれでOKですか？？ ２．私は旅行についての雑誌をいくつか定期購読しています。 I subscribe to several magazines about traveling. で、いいですか？？進行形にはしてもいいですか？したら変でしょうか。あと、「旅行についての雑誌」って、traveling magazines とかにしたほうがよさそうですか？？それともmagazines for travel(ing)　とか、何が一番普通な言い方ですか？？ ３．彼は個人的な理由で去年大学を辞めた。（flunk out　という熟語を使いたいのです・・） He flunked out the university last year with his personal reason. このflunk outは、後ろにuniversityとかつけないとだめですよね？？あと、語順はこれでOKですか？最後の個人的な理由で、の前置詞はこれでいいですか？他にもできそうなものはありますか？？ 長くなりましたが、以上の３つです。自分の英作文添削につきあってくれるネイティブや同志の方が身近にいなく、聞くところに困る毎日ですが、このサイトは特別ですね・・☆いつも頼りにしています。それではお願いします！！

＞１．あなたは自分自身の希望より、集団の（それ）を最優先させなければならない。 ＞You have to subordinate your own wish to those of the group. ＞最後のgroupって、group's　にするべきでしたっけ？ 集団のそれ（集団の希望）というのが、集団のそれぞれの個人の希望なのか、集団としての希望なのかで 集団の個人のそれぞれの希望という意味でしたら You have to subordinate your own wish to those of the group members. (those of the group's)等となると思います。 集団としての希望があって、それよりも、という意味でしたら You have to subordinate your own wish to that of the group. となると思います。 ＞２．私は旅行についての雑誌をいくつか定期購読しています。 ＞I subscribe to several magazines about traveling. で、いいですか？？ I subscribe to several travel magazines. でいいと思います。 旅行雑誌はtravel magazineでいいと思います。 ＞３．彼は個人的な理由で去年大学を辞めた。（flunk out　という熟語を使いたいのです・・） ＞He flunked out the university last year with his personal reason. He flunked out the university last year for personal reasons. でいいのではないでしょうか。 because of his personal reasons[個人的な理由で]でもいいと思います。

１）の'sを付けるか付けないかは、なんかどっちだったかな～、と忘れてしまっていました。多分集団のものとしてなので、that of the group でよいのでしょうね。 ２）はそうですね、この方が自然ですよね ３）は前置詞をいまいち何を使ったらいいか分かりませんでした。理由だからfor のほうがしっくり来る感じはしますね。 どうもありがとうございました☆

You have to give priority to the group's wish rather than yours. のほうがわかりやすく伝わるのではないでしょうか subordinateを使う場合は You have to subordinate your own wish to that of the group. がいいと思います。 I am subscribing to　はこれから 購読申し込みをするぞというような意味にもなります。 進行形にしたい場合は I am reading several subscribed travel magazines. のほうがいいと思います。 magazines for travelはあまり使わないと思います。 ３番目は He flunked out the university last year due to his personal reason. がいいと思います。

ありがとうございます。 確かに他に分かりやすそうな表現はあるでしょうね・・・。 今、英検次の級に向けて単語をちまちま覚えているのですが、例文を無理やり作ったりしてインプットさせようとしていたのでした。すいません（汗） ２）は進行形は変そうですね。readingを使ったほうがすっきりしてますね。なるほど、です。 ３）のはこれもすっきりできていいですね。 お礼申し上げます！！
