並び替えの問題で 「ちょっとお願いがあるのですが」 I have a small favor to ask of you. という正解でした。 I have a small favor of you to ask. と解答してしまったのですが、 これだと意味が 「あなたが質問する」になって おかしくなりますか？ それともこの解答でもOKなのでしょうか？

今回はaskに関する質問です。 askを英和辞書(GENIUS)で引いていたら。 (1)"ask A for B / B from A" A<人>にB<物>をくれと頼む。 (2)"ask AB / B of A" A<人>にB<事>を頼む。 とあり、この二つの違いは(1)は『何か物を求める(頼む)とき』に使用し、(2)は『何かしてほしいことを頼むとき』に使用するのだと思ったのですが、私の解釈でよろしいのでしょうか？ だとすると、何かお願いをするときによく用いられる。 May I ask a favor of you? = May I ask you a favor? は『何かしてほしいことを頼むとき』 May I ask you for a favor? は『何か物を求める(頼む)とき』 と使い分けをするのが正しい使い方なのでしょうか？ あと一点、ask B from Aという形は見かけたことないのですが、実際には使用頻度としてはどうなのでしょうか？そのときの会話の状況によっても違うのかもしれませんが。 なんかとても細かいことのようなのですが、気になってしまったのでお答えいただければ幸いです。 よろしくお願いします。
