要するに何を言っているのかといえば、「DNAの （二重螺旋） 構造がそっくりコピーされるまでは遺伝情報が転写されることはない」 ということなので、個々の単語の意味に捕われすぎると、何のことを言ってるのか、その日本語訳を読む人に分らないものになってしまう危険が生じます。ただし、自分が理解できればいいというのであれば、お示しの訳文で問題ないと思います。
