あまりにもすてきな詩なので英語には未熟な私ですがチャレンジしてみました。 残暑も過ぎ、虫の音がにぎやかだ。 Ａt last summer has past , so the insects of autumn is singing merrily. The lingering summer heat is at last beginning to abate, and the sound of the insect is lively. 地の底から湧いてくるような虫の声に耳を傾けていると、ああ秋だなあとしみじみ感じる。 when I will listen to their song like spring , I realized that autum appears. When listening to the sound of insects, such as seeping from the bottom of the earth, I realized that autumn has come. 身のまわりの音は、これまで不当に軽んじられてきた。 The noise like that has been treated unreasonably. Sounds around me, has been unfairly neglected until now. 気持ちをなごませる好ましい音の模索は、もっと進められてよい And so it is better for us to find healing parts among these noise. We desire to notice sound that softens our feeling.

ありがとうございます。 「The lingering summer heat is at last beginning to abate, and the sound of the insect is lively.」 The lingering summer heat ＝残暑 ちょっと、難しい表現ですね。 abate＝衰える We desire to notice sound that softens our feeling. この表現 「気持ちをなごませる好ましい音の模索は、もっと進められてよい」 → 「私たちの気持ちを、和らげる音に注目する事をのぞむ・・」 と解釈したんですよね。 最初のうまい表現に比べると・・・ ちょっと、息切れしたのかな・・(^^;) と思って、しまうのですが・・・。
