But---conj. quite as interesting (as ???)---C are---V those stories---S in which his success depends on his wits.---M→S の様に C + V + S の形に第2文型が倒置しています。 そして、C の quite as interesting の後ろには as ??? があるはずなのですが、省略されています。??? に当たる部分は、前文にヒントがあると思います。 もう一つの質問、 which 以下は「形容詞節」で those stories を修飾しています。 his success depends on his wits [in those stories]. の[ ]の部分が、in which となって先行詞 those stories の後ろに入ったと考えればよいと思います。

長い文章になるとSVOCだけの分析ではつじつまが合わなくなる、要するに複雑になる これらを（複文） 私は彼女から手紙をもらった、その手紙には彼女の母と彼女の住んでいた家に付いて書かれていた、、、、、その家はまだある。 このときSは私 Oは 手紙 そしてそのOの中にまたS V Oというのが出てくる、 また、これらのOでも 間接目的語には Cが入り込み このCを説明するのは M（修飾語） これらを当てはめるとわかるでしょう。

it is the use to which it is put which mekes it beneficial or dangerous. 訳は「それを有益なものにするか危険なものにするかは、それの利用のされ方である。」で、 この文はあとのwhichの方が強調構文で、put～to useで「～を利用する」らしいのですが、it is the use to which it is put の部分が全くわかりません。。なぜ熟語が離れているのか全く理解できません。。 あと、 those upon whose smile and well-bing our own happiness depends. 訳は「その人々のほほえみと幸せにわれわれ自信の幸せがかかっている人々」です。 これはなぜ「その人々のほほえみと幸せ」が主語というのはわかるのですが、なぜ目的語として訳されているour own happiness がdependsの前にあるのかがわかりません。。 この文の構造を教えてください。お願いします。
