英文契約書の表現について教えてください
英文契約書の翻訳をしているのですが、為替変動に応じた価格調整に ついて以下の記述があります。 Both parties agree to the price table set out below to have 2.5% price change for every 5% exchange rate change (and an equal pro rata portion of any percentage less than 5%). この場合のカッコ内の文言についてどのように訳せば良いのか教えてください。 よろしくお願いします。

カッコ内の意味するところは、「且つ、5%に満たない為替変動についても、 前述のレートと等しい比率で価格調整を行うものとする。」との内容です。 ＜適用例＞ A社がB社に対してUS$建てで仕入れる輸入商品を販売するにあたり、 為替レート：100円/US$（US$1.00＝100円）条件下で、 1,000円/個の販売価格で契約したとする。 実際の輸入時に為替レートが変動した際には、以下の価格調整を行う。 (1)輸入決済時の為替レートが105円/US$だった（5%円安に振れた）場合、 A社→B社への販売価格は、1,000円/個＋2.5%＝1,025円/個とする。 (2)輸入決済時の為替レートが97円/US$だった（3%円高に振れた）場合、 A社→B社への販売価格は、1,000円/個－(2.5%×3/5)＝985円/個とする。 要は「価格調整表は5%刻みの為替レートで作るが、5%に満たない＝端数部分も 同じ比率で価格調整を実施する」ことを再確認しているフレーズと読み取れます。 ※pro rata = 比例して（ラテン語）

「両者は別添に示す通り、為替が５％変動するごとに、2.5％の価格変更を行うとする。（尚、為替変動が５％に達しない場合も、同様の価格調整措置を取ることとする）」 つまり、為替変動率が１％だろうが２％だろうが５％だろうとが８％だろうとが、変動分の2.5％は価格で調整しましょうということでしょう。 ではなぜ、敢えてカッコ書きにしたかですが、おそらく別添の資料には５％単位での価格調整表しか示されていないためでしょう。
