大日如来が不思議で質問し、その背景は理解したのですが、納得までには至っていません。そこで仏教の全般について書かれている本を再読していましたら、唐に渡った空海が景教（キリスト教のネストリウス派）の聖書を漢訳しているインド人伝道者に出会い旧約聖書を譲り受けたと書いてありました。 そこでネット検索すると西暦803年に景教の洗礼名「遍照金剛」を受け、旧約聖書の漢訳を日本に持ち帰ったと書いてありました。戦国時代に来た宣教師は大日如来のことをデウスと英訳したとあります。 大日如来が創造神のようだと以前から思っていたので、ある意味で納得でもありますが、これらのことは本当のことなのでしょうか。教えてください。

They would have found it almost impossible to belive in a process of creation so utterly unlike all their own experience. And it would have been quite useless to them besides, since their science was not in such a condition as to enable them to coordinate this doctrine with any other. As science it would have been dead; and as spiritual truth it would have been a hindrance.
