英書のシステム監査の本を読んでいたら次の箇所がありました。 The completeness of computer-generated sales figures can be tested by comparing the number of items listed on the daily sales report with the number of items billed on the actual invoices. This process uses a.Check digit b.Contorl totals c.Validity tests d.Processing tracing data この場合のControl totalsというのはコンピュ－タが計算する合計のト－タルとして解釈してよろしいのでしょうか

CISAを受けられるんですか？システム監査のスキルと英語のスキルを持ち合わせれば、業界では怖いものなしですね。私は情報処理のシステム監査に合格できましたが、英語のスキルは全く・・。すごく欲しいスキルですが根気が要りますよね。辞書なしでこういう問題が理解できるくらいにはなりたいです。 ところで、"Control totals" は「総額」程度の意味に思えます。"CT"のように略される場合もあるようですが、いろんな局面で使われ、それぞれで内容（算出式）が異なるようですが、総じると「総額」のような意味だと思われます。きっと販売管理での一般的な "CT"があるのでしょう。 ここでは、他の選択肢とのバランスからしても、「合計」くらいの意味ではないでしょうか？ 頑張ってください。

レスが付かないようなので、ネットを回ってきました。ちょっと違うような気がしますが、これしか見つからなかったので、一応書き込みます。 コントロール・トータルとは、一般政府歳出から景気循環的な社会保障支出や中央政府利払い費及び民営化収入等を除いたもの（米国でいう裁量的支出に近い概念）で、予算編成の早い段階に、コントロール・トータルの伸びに上限（CAP）を決定し、歳出の伸びを抑制しようとするものである。

どうもありがとうございます。時間がたっているのにレスいただいて光栄です。ＣＩＳＡは受験しません。米国にシステム監差用の掲示板があるみたいですが、私の質問だとアメリカ人であれば、そんなの自分で考えろとレスされますからここの掲示板を利用させていただきました。 なるほど、単に「合計」という意味ですね。助かりました。英語のほうは何か自分で趣味をもっていれば米国の掲示板をどんどん利用することですな。一石ニ鳥以上のものが得られますよ。
