the board of directorsの意味
TOEICの勉強をしていて気になったのですが、 文中の「the board of directors」を訳出するとき、どのような訳が一番よいでしょうか？ 僕は「幹部」と訳しました。 TOEICのテキストには「board(経営陣、役員)」と同じ意味と書かれているのですが、 directorsの意味を汲んで「理事会の役員」などと訳す必要がありますか？

TOEICの問題を解いている中でassignの意味について疑問を持ちました。 問題文中のWhy not consider assigning her to a mentoring role, especially for the two juniors who have just come on board?という文が「彼女を、特に入社したばかりの2人の後輩のために、指導する役割に任命することを考えてみませんか」と訳されていました。一方、設問の選択肢のAssigning her a mentorという文が「彼女にメンターをつけること」と訳されていました。 前者ではher＝a mentoring roleなのに対して後者ではher≠a mentorとなっているのは何故なのかふと疑問に思いました。お手数かけますが、このあたりについてご教示頂けると幸いです。よろしくお願いいたします。

オンライン英会話で英語を勉強中のものです。 テキストの中に「OF」で始まる文章があって、文章の意味はなんとなくわかるのですが、なぜ「OF」なのか文法的用途がわかりません。 どなたかご説明してくださる方はいますか？ Of bigger concern is the number of deaths caused by alcoholic poisoning. 文の意味としては「もっと問題なのは、アルコール中毒による死者数である。」だと思うのですがあっていますか？ ちなみに先生に聞いたら「きっとこれは OF じゃなくて A の間違いだよ。」と言っていたのですが、そうなのでしょうか？確かに「A」だとしっくりくるのですが。
