Gです。 たしかに、複数形にしたい気持ちは分かりますが、日本でいう集合名詞の使い方をしているんですね. ですから、よって、This room has too much furniture!! と言う言い方も一般的な英語としていうんですね. 多分文法的にはこの方が正しいのかもしれませんが. I can't drink too much coffee because of my health. と言う言い方と、 ウエイトレスが、How many regular coffees do you guys need? How about decaf? と注文を取りに来る furnitureと言う単語も同じように、それも一般的に、We sell furnitures and cars at the same location!!! なんて言う言い方をするんですね. can not put any more pieces of furniture.とすることは出来ますし、このフィーリングが必要であれば、このように使います. アメリカでは、両方、furniture/furnituresをこの文章で使う事が出来ます. いわゆる日常用法ですね. 使える英語です. しかしながら、普通ならfurnitureと単数形で使われます. よって、この文章で、furnitureを使っても、ネイティブの人にとっては全く違和感がない/完璧、と言う事なんですね. furnituresとした場合、違和感があるかどうかは私にはわかりませんが、多分ないのではないかと思います. 私ですか? 少しだけありますが、気にも止めません. 複数形にしたからといって、意味が変わってくるわけでもないですから、と感じます. （多分、この単語の正しい用法は、複数形にはならない、と言う事じゃなかったかな。 確か学生時代いわれてようなきがします） 同じ集合名詞のfamilyは普通名詞で使うときと集合名詞として使うことがあり、意味も変ってきますね. ですから、このfurnitureは変った単語ですね。 横から口を出した形になりましたが、興味あるトピックとして、書かせてもらいました. 反論ではなく、こちらではこのように使われる、と言う情報として思ってください

My partner and I recently got engaged and have begun the wedding planning. While we both agree that we would prefer a low-key, inexpensive event, some amount of money is still going to be spent, and we are having trouble raising the funds on our own. I know that it is typical for the father of the bride to pay for the majority of the expenses, but being that there is no bride, this makes things more difficult. My fiancé’s parents are well off and very supportive, but my own parents, especially my father, are not as well off. My question is: How do I go about asking either parent for financial support for this wedding? If I want this wedding to go the way I’d like, I need some type of financial aid. どうもありがとうございます！ ↓のも読ませていただきました。 ちょっとよくわからないのですが、furnitureを単数で使うのと、複数で使うのとでの違いはなんなのでしょうか？ familyは、単数だと家族みんな一緒を一単位でみる 複数だと、家族一人一人を意識している 感じだと思うのですが、 furnitureだとどうなるのでしょうか？ (でも、Ganbatteruyoさんが仰るように違いはあんまりないのですよね？) ＞この単語の正しい用法は、複数形にはならない はいそう習います(＾＾； あとはinformation,machinaryとかだったと思います。
