I gave じゃなく It gave じゃないんですか？ でないとおかしいですね。 a chill が正しい語ですが、素晴らしい＝cool と米俗 にはあります。 でもやっぱり 大半は ぞっとするという感じです。 表現の仕方が変だと思うのですが、嬉しさを表しているものなら、 no.1 の方の 身震い がふさわしいと思います。

文章は『I gave～』となっていましたが、キーボードタイプの苦手な知人（生粋のアメリカ人なのですが…）が送ってきたメールなのでミスタイプだったのかもしれません。 皆様のおっしゃる通り身震い、で訳すると全体的に違和感無く読める文章になったのですっきりしました。ありがとうございました！

出典は何でしょうか。 I gave me ～というのも変ですし， chill には通常 a がつくはずです。

知人のアメリカ人からのメールにあった文章でした。 急いでいた為のミスタイプだったのか、カジュアルなメールだった為に省略したのかもしれません。 本人に聞き返すほどの部分でもないのですが気になったのでこちらに質問させて頂きました。 ありがとうございました！
