英訳の修正をお願いします(メールの文です)
今日は残念なお知らせをあなたに言わなくてはいけません。 それは今年の短期留学についてなんですが、募集された人数が16人ぐらいでした。 でも今年の希望者は25人ぐらいいました。そう、１０人以上いけなくなるってことです。 だから去年短期留学をした人は今年は行けないということになってしまいました。 今年は誰かが行けなくなったりしない限りは行けないです。 まだ確実に行けないとは言い切れないですが、ほぼ今年は無理だと思います。 本当に楽しみにしてたのに残念です。 I have to tell you something not cool... this year 16 people had recruit for the short term abroad,but there is about 25 people who enter the name for this...that means over 10 people won't be able to go...so who went last year they can't abroad this year unless someone decide to not to go. I can't say that these people who abroaded are surely unable to go, but I think this is quite imposible... This is shame that somepeople can't go, because I was really looking forward about it. よろしくお願いします。

ただの大学生なので大したことは言えませんが回答させて頂きます。 ▽2行目冒頭ですが、これだと16人が実際に希望をしたような意味合いになりそう。 "16 people are recruited"と受動態にするか、あるいは人数を示していることを明確にするため、"The number of people who ... is 16"という文型にした方がよいかと思います。 ▽10人以上行けない、の後に"Those who have never been abroad are prior(行ったことのない人が優先される)"のような文があった方が明快かもしれません。 unless以下は、"someone"よりも"an applicant"の方が分かりやすいのかな。動詞はdecideよりも"cancel"の方がより直接的かもしれません。そんなこんなで "unless an applicant should cancel his entry"とかが綺麗かなーなんて。 ▽4行目、度々「留学経験者」を英語で書くのは面倒ですよね。「私」がいけるかどうかが気になる点だと思うので、"I can't clearly say that I can't go"くらい簡素でいいんじゃないでしょうか。 ▽一番最後、Iとsome peopleで主語に一貫性がないように感じられるので、この際that以下を取り払って "It's a shame...I was really looking forward to it"でも今までの文脈があるから十分通じると思います。 留学行けるといいですね。お祈りしておきます。

But I don't agree with the idea. ２ 英語が上手くなるには留学しなければいけないと言っている人がいますが、基本的には納得できないです。 Some people says that studying abroad is necessary to be able to speak English. But, in general, I don't like the idea.

I should be able to have it where I want it and to decide who to invite. Let other people do their own birthday parties the way they wish, but they should leave mine alone. That way, we can all be happy at least one day each year. Is this too much to ask?

In my opinion, The fastest way for you to improve your language skills is to go to the country where the language you want to learn is spoken However, there are a lot of people who go abroad every day in Japan but I think that they tend to gather up with their own country. This is because they feel relieved when they talk with their own country people. you have a big misunderstanding if you think that you would be able to speak foreign language easily the way of just going abroad.

少し長いのですが・・・ First, I am going to talk about friends. Many people have views. （たくさんの人がそれぞれの考え方を持っている） And it is not similar. （それは似ていない） If I had live in a big city, I could meet people who have some views. I have friends when I was high school student. Some friends of mine goes to college. But others don't go to college. This is because they have a dream. A friend of mine wants to be dancer. She don't go to college, but go to dance school. Thus, I can meet many people because I live in a big city. So I can make many friends. They and I have different views. Therefore, I like talk people. I suppose that we can meet many people in a big city than a small town. もし、間違いやアドバイスなどあれば教えてください。
