文脈によります。 基本的に「music life」とは言いません。それを言うなら「musical life」ですが、これは直訳すれば「音楽面における人生」、すなわち音楽を鑑賞することなども含まれるので「音楽活動」とは少し違いますし、「musical lifeをいついつ始めた」という言い方は一般的ではありません。 たぶん、一番イコールなのが「musical activities」でしょう。ちなみに、「as part of someone musical activities」は「誰々の音楽活動の一部として」という意味なので、「私は1990年に音楽活動を始めた」と言いたいのなら「I started doing musical activities in 1990.」です。これは、アマチュアとして演奏会をやることなども含みます。ただし、「I started doing music in 1990.」と言ったほうが自然です。 「debut」の日本語訳は「デビュー」ですが、この言葉は基本的に「プロとしてのデビュー」を意味します。「私は1990年にデビューした」なら「I made my debut in 1990.」です。 「1990年に仕事として音楽活動を始めた」と言いたいなら「I started my musical career in 1990.」と言うのが一般的です。
