イギリスの編み物記号についてご存知の方！
イギリスの編み物の本を見ながら編んでいます。こちらの本は日本のような編み目記号がなくて、みな言葉で説明してあるだけなのでとってもわかりにくいです。ほとんどは言葉で理解できたのですが、ひとつだけこちらのウェブサイトを当たってもどうしてもわからないものがあります。「Tp」＝p into front of 2nd st, p into front of 1st st, slip sts off needle togetherというものです。もうひとつ「Tk」というのもあり、＝k into back of 2nd st, k into front of 1st st, slip sts off needle togetherと上記の表編版のようです。これらは日本バージョンでいうと何編みのことなのでしょうか？どなたかご存知の方がおられましたら、ぜひ教えてください!！

ためしに説明の通りに編んでみると Tpは「裏目の左上1目交差＝裏側から見ると表目の左上一目交差」 Tkのほうは「表目の右上1目交差（ただし下側はねじり目）」になりますね。 たぶんTpはTwisted purl(ed stitch)、TkはTwisted knit(ted stitch)ではないでしょうか。ただしtwistedは"米式だと「ねじり目」の意味で使うのでまぎらわしいですね。

編み方を教えて下さい。 Cast on 41sts (1)K1, (slip1, k2tog, passo; k1)*4, k8 winding yarn twice round needle on each st, (slip, k2tog, passo; k1)*4 = 25sts (2)K8; k8, dropping extra wound-round loop on each st; k9 (3)k2tog, k7, (k2tog)*4, k8 = 20sts と段々網目が減って行くのですが、winding yarn round needle on each stの意味が分かりません。 日本語での編み方の名前は分かりますか？ もしくはやり方を教えて下さい。 表を見て編んでいて、右の棒でyarn overを二度してK1ではないですよね。。やってみたんですが、この段は25で終わるはずなのに増えてしまいました。 よろしくお願いします。

洋書に「p twice in first st」とありました 増し目だと思うのですが、 表編みにしろ裏編みにしろ、棒針で一目に二目編んで増し目をする方法はあるのでしょうか？

2ndの前には必ずtheを付けるのが通例でしょうか？ The 2nd edition of ... The 2nd projectなど。 また、1st, 2nd 3rd 4th等st,nd,rd,thが付くと必ずつけると考えてよいでしょうか？

襟ぐりを細めの編み棒で拾うというニュアンスは、解るのですが・・・ With smaller needle, pick up and knit about 3 st for every 4 rows, along vertical left front neck edge, continue picking up the number of cast on st for the left sleeve, back, and right sleeve sections, and the same number for right vertical neck edge as for the left edge. Do not go along lace panel – this already has a finished edge. (Pick up fewer st around if you want to bring up the neckline.) Work back and forth: Knit 3 rows. (Knit more rows if you want to reduce the width of the neck opening.) Then bind off knitwise, with medium to snug tension. Neatly sew ends of the new edging to the ends of the top of the lace panel. - 回転をちゃんとかけたスピンサーブを打ちたい
テニス歴3年の初中級レベルだと思います。 以前は1stフラット、2ndスライスで打ってましたが、 最近壁打ちテニスで練習してから1st、2nd共スピンサーブにしました。 1stはスピードも何故か増して、入れば中級以上の方でも返ってこないとがよくあるようになったので、 1stはよいとして、2ndで悩んでいます。 上手く回転をかけられず、単なる1stの山なりって感じなのです。 イメージでは、もっとバウンドしてから弾むようにしたいのですが。 何かコツってありますでしょうか？。 よろしくお願いします。 理想としては、相手のバック側で大きく跳ねて、 強く打ち返せないってゆうのが理想（かなり高望み）です。 p.s.自分のラケットを買って2年くらいなのですが、 1度張り替えただけです。 練習、試合中に切れたことはありません。 これも回転をキチンとかけれてないからガットが切れないのでしょうか？。

ある本に、「喫煙の習慣をやめる」は、quit smoking, give up smoking のように書き、shake off the smoking habit, shake off the habit of smoking のようにhabitを使った表現はあまり使われない、と書いてありました。 そうしたら、違う本に He eventually got into the bad habit of smoking. という文を見つけてしまいました。それで、わからなくなりました。 the bad habit of smoking は、正しいのでしょうか。「喫煙の習慣」は本当はどのように言うのか、教えください。よろしくお願いいたします。

ありがとうございました。実はあれからこのインストラクションどおりに編んでみて、できあがり写真と似た感じになったのでいいやと思っていました。多分こっちでもこういう名前の決まった編み方というのはないのかもしれませんが、この編み図で一回使うきりの割とオリジナルな編み方なのかもしれませんね。ちなみに出来上がりは細めの縄編みが浮き上がったような感じになりました。ありがとうございました。
