- なぜ原形動詞を使うのでしょうか
和訳の問題で That a man's business, be it of any kind, must be done, and done promptly, is a truth acknowledged universally, though sadly not always universally followed. という文があるのですが、 その中の be it of any kind という部分が分かりません。 問題のヒントを読むと if it be of any kind が if が省略されて倒置が起きているとあるのですが、 なぜ if it is of any kind と現在形を使わないのでしょうか? あと、 of any kind ですが、 of + 抽象名詞で形容詞となり、 it is of any kind は SVC と考えたらよいのでしょうか? そして、最終的にはどのような和訳が出来上がるのでしょうか?

「There was never any father in the picture,and so it had just been the two of us,my mother and I.」 という英文の意味がわかりません。 文の構造、訳共にわかりません。特に、なぜ「never any」なのか、「it」を使用するのか全くわかりません。 どなたか、意味を教えては下さいませんか？ 宜しくお願い致します。

下記の英文にhasは二つありますが、後者のhasについてお教えください。 Valenod has been a guest in our house. ある単語集の例文として載っていた文です。 The current exchange is the lowest it has been in ten years. 「現在の為替レートはここ10年間で最も低い。」 という訳になっています。 意味は分かります。しかし、 the lowest と [ it has been --- ] 節の文法上の関係が分かりません。 よろしくお願いします。

The problem is that I get extremely uncomfortable around adult guys. So uncomfortable that I get anxious and nervous and want to run in the other direction. I don't understand it though, I have never been physically abused, never been assaulted in any way, and I hate that I am pretty sure I come off as rude on occasion to adult guys I meet. Either friends' dads, teachers, etc. I don't think it has anything to do with my mom's ex, but that's around when it started. that's aroundとはどのような意味でしょうか？よろしくお願いします
