Do you know the essential difference between sex and conversation? No, huh...So you want to go somewhere and talk? セックスと会話の本質的な違いってわかる？わからないか、ふ…それはそうとどこかへ行っておしゃべりしたくないかい？ 文の意味がわかるのですが、本質的な意味がわかりません(・_・; ジョークというか、くさすぎる女性へのくどき文句らしいのですが、これはどういう意味なんでしょうか？ セックスと会話は本質的に一緒だよ、って意味なんでしょうか？これではなんか腑に落ちません。 おわかりの方、ぜひわかりやすく説明していただけたら幸いです。よろしくお願いします。

A is different from B 上記の文は「AはBと異なる」になると思いますが、 「何がAとBとでは異なるのでしょうか？」 は以下のようにdifferenceと言う名詞を使うのでしょうか？ What is the difference between A and B. もしくは以下のようには言えますでしょうか？ What is diffrent from B to A? 実際分からなかった文章は以下です。 What was different from what you expected to your life in XXXX？ 宜しくお願い致します。

英語のジョークなのですが、いまいち意味がよく分からない 文が出てきました。 ある男が仲間たちに向かって 「“田舎者”を見分ける方法を知ってるか？」の次に続く言葉で “When your home has more miles on it than your car” で、笑いが続くという場面です。 「車のマイル表示よりも家に行くまでのマイルのほうが多い⇒それほどかけ離れた田舎。」 ということかと思ったのですが、 「車が家より動かない奴」というニュアンスだという意見もあり よく分かりません。 どういう意味なのか、どなたかお知恵を拝借願えませんか。 よろしくお願いいたします。
