ifにした場合、「もしアナタが急げば、列車に乗り遅れます」になるので間違いです。 「あなたがたとえ急いだとしても」という文にするしたら、even ifをつけると、そうなりますね。 Even if you hurry, you won't catch the train.です。

ある問題集で次のような問題を見つけました。 You will become sick ( ) you stop working so hard. ア if イ until ウ when エ unless 答はエのようですが、私の今までの理解では『if notとunlessは同様の意味を伴うこともあるが、必ずしも置き換えることはできない。なぜなら、unlessは非常に限定的なニュアンスでしか使用することができない。unlessが使用できるのは必要十分条件のとき、つまり逆や対偶が成立するときだけである。』というものでした。この問題は必要十分条件を満たしているのでしょうか？、if notが正しいと思うのですがただ私がパニックになっているだけかもしれません。どなたかお願いします！

- "will"に推測の意味は含まれるか？
willにはguessやthink等を伴わなくても、日本語で言う「～だろう」や「思う」の意味は含まれるでしょうか？ 例えば if you don't come by 7, you won't see me there. で 「7時までにこないんなら、会えないよ。」 という可能性をほぼ否定する感じなのか 「会えないと“思うよ”」「会えない“だろうね”」 というような「多分ね」といったニュアンスが入るのかが分かりません 要するにwillが単体で使われた時、発言者として 可能性に遊びを設けているかどうかを知りたいのです それとも素直に「思う・だろう」と曖昧さを表現したいは I think you won't see me I guess you won't see me と使い分けるほうが良いのでしょうか？ 用法の違いについて詳しい方、教えていただけると非常に助かります

ご回答有難うございます。 even ifのevenは省略出来ると書いてあったので、あなたがたとえ急いだとしても、列車に乗れないだろう。の訳にはならないのかな？と思ったのですが、説明不足すみません。
