この列車は日曜日と祭日を除き毎日運行しています。
タイトルの文を英訳するとどうなるでしょうか？ 一応自分で訳してみました。 This train runs daily except (Sundays) and public holidays. そこで質問です。 Sundays複数でいいのでしょうか？ また onは必要でしょうか？

どうしても分からないので教えてください。 このような例文がありました。 This shop is closed on Sundays. 受け身の文なので、それを疑問文にした場合は、Is this shop closed? ですよね？ さらに日時を知りたい場合はWH疑問文にして、 What time is this shop closed? もしくは When is this shop closed? だと思っていたのですが、辞書などで調べてみると、 What time does this shop close? もしくは When does this shop close? となっていました。 受け身はどこに行ってしまったのでしょうか。英語初心者の私に、なぜこのようになるのか教えてください。

２００９年１２月７日にスペンのダリ美術館に旅行で行こうと計画しています。 そこで、HPを見ると、 Closed on: Every Monday between 1 October and 31 May, except on holidays, holiday eves and 24 December. と書いてありました。現地では、１２月７日は月曜日なのですが、 翌日の１２月８日はスペインでは祝日なので、 １２月７日は月曜日だけれども上記の「holiday eves」にあたるので、開館してる と私は解釈したのですが、これは正しいでしょうか？ ご意見よろしくお願いします。

タイトルの通りです。 考えたのですがイマイチいい表現が思いつきません。 We will have to winter vacation at this weekend. とかかなぁ、と思ったのですがエキサイトで和訳してみるととんでもないことになってるし^^; エキサイトでそのまま日本語を英訳したら It is winter holidays from the end of this week. になったのですがこれで大丈夫なのでしょうか・・・ 英語に詳しい方、どなたかご教授いただけるとありがたいです。

回答ありがとうございます。 進行形にしないとダメでしょうかね。日本語では「～している」とあっても、現在過去未来を超えた定期的な反復動作を表しているんですが。 それから Sundayにはonでなくてforを使うんですか？
