from one ～ to the other ～
場所は二つ以上あり、ある物体がその内の一つから場所から別の場所に移されたと表現する場合はfrom one ～ to the other ～と表現すればよいでしょうか？ otherの前のtheを省くべきか、anotherにすべきか迷っています。 from one ～ to other ～ from one ～ to another ～ anotherは、an otherなのでその一つの場所に対して別の場所は一つという意味なので違うと考えています。 例) The object is moved from one place to the other place.

the other だと，もともと２地点しかなかったことになります。２地点の出発点から，残った唯一の地点に移るということです。the other は「残りの唯一の一つ」という意味合いです。 ３地点以上あり，出発点から，残りの任意の別の地点というのであれば an ＋ other で another となります。「一つ」という意味では，the other も単数形です。一つだから another というのでなく，「（残りの複数のうちの）任意の，適当な一つ」という意味で a であり，another なのです。

anotherの方がいいかなと思います。 その前に、物体が移動したというのが言いたい事であるなら、場所はアバウトでいいのではないですか。移動したのですから、ある場所からある場所に移ったというのは言わなくても分かりますよ。場所が主なら、oneなど使わず、具体的な名称とか範囲をいれた方が分かりやすいです。

The cats came one after another. という文がありました。one after anotherのところですが、これだと、anotherの後に one が来るというこですから、another→oneという順番になります。これは逆ではないでしょうか？まずoneがあって、その後それとはちがう別のという意味のanotherが来ないといけないのでは？だから、another after oneとするほうが正しいと思うのですが。どうして、one after anotherという順番になっているのでしょう？

「～は人によって異なる」という表現を「vary from person to person」 と書いたら「vary from one person to another」と書き直されました。 私としては person to person はとても有名な表現で多くの参考書にも載っているので使ったのですが、間違っているのでしょうか？ ちなみに one person to another は別解で載っています。
