文章構造を教えてください。
as a rough check on these numbers,consider the following exercise. と言う文章なのですが、どんな文法的な構造になっているのでしょうか？よろしくお願いします。

下記の文章（JAPAN TIMESの社説集の一部です）の文章の途中、--a process to legally declare～～～以下の文章の構造がどこがどうなってるのか理解できないのですが・・。 臓器移植に関する記事です。 -This is important since, in Japan, before organs may be harvested from a person, two strict tests are carried out, during each of which the respirator is temporarily removed--a process to legallly declare the patient brain dead ( as distinguished from a declaration by a doctor treating the person that he or she is brain dead). 本の対訳では、a process to ～以下の訳文は下記のようになっていました。 「これは（担当医によるその患者が脳死状態であるという宣告とは別に）法的に患者が脳死状態にあることを宣言するために必要な手段である」 (1)"the patient brain dead" は「患者が脳死状態にある」という意味のようですが、その意味なら "the patient (is) brain dead" じゃないとおかしくないですか？ 文法的にどういう構造になっているのでしょうか？ (2)（）内の文章の初めの"as"はどういう意味で、どこに係っているんでしょうか？

いつもお世話になります。 Japan times の下記の英文で構造が分からないところがあります。 That's been the appraisal for a while now, born of numbers showing that fewer than one in 10 teens were using Twitter early on. この文章の、showing ～ 10 teens がborn of numbersを修飾していると思っているのですが、 that fewer はどういう働きをしてるのでしょうか？thatの後にすぐfewerってできるのですか？？

This may be an effect of showing certain qualities as admirable,food and beautiful: through the art of the play ,such values as endurance,self-sacrifice,absolute faithfulness to paersons or principles,are celebrated. …少し、長い気もしますが＾＾； ":"の部分で文章を２つに分けても平気ですか？「つまり～」みたいな感じで。 カンマの使い方がイマイチ良く分かってないので、文章構造が分かるようになればいいので、単語とかは適当に訳しちゃってOKです。 因みに、これは演劇についての文章なので、playは演劇と訳すようですが、気にしなくても構いません。

高校教科書の文章の一部です。 these are as real to children as our worst fears are to us この文法的解釈は、 僕は these are (as real) to children as our worst fears are to us このようにrealを名詞ととって、A is to B as C is to Dの表現だと思ったのですが 先生の解説はrealを形容詞ととっていました。 まだ英語の経験の浅い僕ですが、先生の解釈だと these to children are as real as our worst fears to us このような文章になるのが普通だと思うのです。 どちらでとっても大して意味が変わるわけでもありませんが、 受験英語を学んでる身ですので、このような愚問をお許しください。 回答よろしくお願いします。

Very early on we discussed the Books as a project in which we wanted to try to galvanize and apply our often rather conceptual artistic endeavours and experiments of the past into a kind of music that a broader audience might relate to, instead of just our family, friends and colleagues. この文章のSはどこにあたりますか？ Very early onで始めたばかりの頃。という意味になりますよね。 なので、Sはwe We discussed the booksでSVO As a projectとあって、in whichとありますが、先行詞はthe booksです。 なので、 We wanted to try to galvanize and apply our in The Books でしょうか？ そうなると、oftenが唐突に出てきているように見えてしまうし、ずっと後にあるmight relate toも説明をつける事ができません。 often rather conceptual artistic endeavours and experiments of the past これに対するSというか構造がわかりません・・・。 正直構造に対してお手上げです。なので意味もつかみ切れていないです。 よろしくお願いいたします。

As with the Renaissance Latin borrowings to be described later,turning over the pages of a standard history of the language will indicate the very large numbers of words involved. という文章が訳せません。 前の文章では中世時代にフランス中部の方言がフランス語の標準となっていったという話をしていたのですが、話の質がいきなり変わってしまい、訳せなくなってしまいました。 また、As with～という文法の使い方がいまいちつかみきれません。 調べてみたら何かの略であったりする場合が多いみたいなのですがどうなんでしょうか…。 よろしかったら解答よろしくお願いします。
