大好きな曲・歌詞です。教えていただきたい所があります。
”I see skies......”ですが、なぜskiesなんでしょうか？ｓｋｙの複数形で理解するのでしょうか？ Louis Armstrong What A Wonderful World .................................... I see skies of blue and clouds of white

Gです。 こんにちは!!! これは確かに日本語では「空」なんですが、英語では、a skyと言う言い方をして、そのときに見える空、の事も意味するのです。 今回のskiesはその複数形として、いろいろな空、時として、いろいろな人生に降りかかる情況、なんていうフィーリングを出すときもあります。 白い雲が舞う青空、晴れた空、そして、暗いけど神聖な夜空、なんてすばらしい世界なんだ、と言っているわけです。 ＞I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do They're really saying I love you. ただ握手しているのではなく本当はI love youと言っているんだよ、What a wonderful world we live in!!ですね。 これでいかがでしょうか。 分かりにくい点がありましたら、補足質問してください。

skyの複数形で、気候や風土といった意味を表わすこともあるようです。なので、青空や雲を含めて風景を歌ってるのではないでしょうか？

Louis Armstrong - What a Wonderful World の 冒頭のセリフのところですが Some of you young folks been saying to me, "Hey Pops, what you mean 'What a wonderful world'? How about all them wars all over the place? You call them wonderful? And how about hunger and pollution? That aint so wonderful either." Well how about listening to old Pops for a minute. Seems to me, it aint the world that's so bad but what we're doin' to it. And all I'm saying is, see, what a wonderful world it would be if only we'd give it a chance. Love baby, love. That's the secret, yeah. If lots more of us loved each other, we'd solve lots more problems. And then this world would be の次が聞き取れません。いろいろ調べましたが、ほとんどが "better."と記してありますが、”a gasser.”と聞き取れます。すみませんが、本当は、何と言っているのか教えてください。
