エッセイといえますか？
以下の文はエッセイといえるでしょうか。後、文法の確認をしていただけると助かります。 I began to learn soft tennis at the time of a junior high school student. Even now, it is striving for a game and practice. Soft tennis derives in tennis. Tennis will be the sport briskly performed mainly by France and Italy around the 11th century. (必須単語 derives) 訳：私は、中学生の時にソフトテニスを習い始めた。今でも試合と練習に励んでいる。ソフトテニスはテニスに由来する。テニスは11世紀頃、フランス、イタリアを中心に盛んに行われたスポーツである この他に、preserveを使ったエッセイが必要なのですがなかなか良い文章が浮かびません。どなたか、アドバイスお願いします。 （既に、一つ類似した質問をさせていただいています、文字数の関係で二つに分けさせてもらいましたm(__)m）

こんにちは。 この文に足りないもの…、それはあなた自身の考えや意見です。deriveを用いたエッセイとしてはトピック自体は問題ないと思います（ソフトテニスはテニスに由来する…という点で。でも、ソフトテニスがテニスに由来するって誰でも推測出来ますよね…。そう言う点ではこのエッセイはオモシロクないかもです。） どれくらいの文字数を指定されているかもよく考えて、構成を練ってみて下さいね。基本的にエッセイは「最低でも」３つ～４つのパラグラフによって構成されています。 また、preserveを使ったトピックとしては、月並みなものとして、「自然の保護」などでしょうか。

直接のご回答ではないので、あくまで参考までに・・・ エッセイ＝小論文ですよね。英語の場合。 普通は何かの「問題」について、自分の意見をその根拠とともに論じるものではないでしょうか？そもそもなぜ「テニス」が題材なのか、なぜこんなに短くて、論の展開も何もないのか、正直これを見ただけでは疑問がいっぱいです。英作文の宿題と言われれば分かるのですが。具体的にどういう状況で、どういう課題が出されたのか、もう少し補足されると具体的にお返事がしやすいのではないのでしょうか。 エッセイとは何かについては、下のURLをご覧になることをお勧めします。

課題は、derivesの単語を使ったエッセイを書きなさい」というものです。 （この他にmost difficultとpreserveを使ってそれぞれエッセイを書きなさいというのも出されました）内容に関しても、長さも自由という課題です。日本文の構成から考える必要がありますよね…

「エッセイ」の定義にもよると思うのですが、この長さだけでエッセイとは言えないかもしれませんね。エッセイの冒頭部分にはなるでしょうが。＃１さんも指摘されているように、自分の体験などから得た「何か」が書かれていないと、報告文や解説文にとどまってしまいますのでご注意を。 あと、参考までに英語の添削です。 I began soft tennis when I was a junior high school student. I continue to practice it for a match. Soft tennis derives from tennis, which was the sport popular mainly in France and Italy around the 11th century.

これだけでは何のエッセイにもなっていません。 テニスのうんちくに過ぎません。 エッセイというのは、 自分の体験をうまく織り交ぜて面白いものにしなければいけません。 「人に読んでもらおう」と言う姿勢が大事だと思います。この文章を面白いと思って読む人はいないでしょう。 １度本当のエッセイを読んでみることをお勧めします。 私は群よう子をお勧めします

自分は高機能自閉症という障害者です 他人の発言に対して適切に答えることと、 （ここでお礼を書きにくいのもそのためです） 自己開示、自分から話すのが苦手です だから誰にも相手にされません いろいろ同じ障害者のブログを見ていると エッセイを書ける、知的能力を持っている方は 異性の友人はともかく、同性の友人には 恵まれてるようです 自分もエッセイをかけるようになりたいです。 その方法など教えて下さい。
