回答No.2

"We have all at some time made ..."の "at some time"と"have ... made"の捉え方です。

1:”at some time”と”at the wrong time”を「ある時」と「別の時」と捉えて書いたのですが、これは誤りでしょうか?

It is a beneficial thought that we were once children.(省略) We try to behave not as we want to behave, nor even as we think we ought to behave, but as we think others expect us to behave. So we enter into a world of pretence and deception, deceiving others and perhaps ourselves as well, and being deceived by them in turn. So we are placed under a continual strain.(省略) After all, it isn't so easy to act the part of someone else, according to what we imagine others may be expecting of us, especially when that expectation may change from day to day. As for all this strain, I hardly need add how harmful it must be to our health. (省略) Pretending we are still children is just as bad as pretending we are other adults than ourselves.(省略) All pretence is positeively harmful, if only by putting us under a strain and so impairing our health. At the same time, we must recognize there's still something of the child left in us. We never grow up in such a way as to leave the past entirely behind us. What we were, in a deep sense, we still are: and it is important for our health and peace of mind to admit the fact.

And they said, "Well, look, we have to design for at least one car per household because it’s the future." There is this expectation — that the future is America. The phenomenon of emulating the worst of what we do is really dangerous.

What's your view on the music scene at present? Is there a crisis? Depends on what we are talking about. If we are talking about music itself, I cannot see a crises. There is a lot of stuff around. Maybe there isn’t a specific genre, which I find especially interesting, but everything is present at the same time. There is not a certain style which reflects these days - at least for me. Probably I have to do more research to find music, which I like. The reason simply might be the signal-to-noise ratio...it is easy to produce music and it became easier to present it to the public. So everybody has access to tons of great tracks - and of course also to pieces in which you are not interested in. Anyway, the music scene is becoming more and more a parallel world or worlds in itself, where different approaches to music coexist at the same time. That means, if you are looking for a particular style that overshadows the rest for a certain period - like punk, techno etc. did -then you might be perhaps disappointed. 下から4行目にある、 the music scene is becoming more and more ~あたりからわかりません。 そしてthat means, if you are ~ですが、 「つまりこういうことさ。

下の文はJomo Kenyattaの演説で比喩表現が入ってるらしいのですが、それ自体ががどこにあるのかも分からないので誰か分かる方は教えてください><↓ 'There is no society of angels, whether it is white, brown or black. We are all human beings, and as such we are sure to make mistakes. If I have done a wrong to you, it is for you to forgive me; and if you have done something wrong to me, it is for me to forgive you. The Africans cannot say the Europeans have done all the wrong; and the Europeans cannot say the Africans have done all the wrong.... You have something to forget just as I have. Many of you are just as Kenyan as myself.'

A woman embarking on a spiritual journey travels a path which there are few sure guides to inspire and affirm her. The institutions and traditions we are heirs to have been primarily formulated, structured and maintained by men, with their own vision and application of spirituality. Each of these authorities offers a sanctioned pathway to living and being. Each pathway has its own expectations, values and models to strive for. There is an underlying message common to all of these voices―to conform is to be offered safety, acceptance and, most of all, love. To step outside of these institutions is to lose approval and shelter, and to be alone.

Among the many buzzwords we hear in Japan at the beginning of the 21st century, two of the most common are “freeter” and “NEET.” These terms refer to people who either work in temporary jobs (freeters) or those that have no employment, education or training (NEETs). Although freeters are working, most people have a negative impression when they hear these words. One of the images that many foreigners have of Japanese people is that they are diligent. How can it be then that this new breed of people, who appear to have a casual attitude towards work, or are even lazy, came to exist? The answer to this question is not as simple as it may seem.

Monsanto’s unchecked power is corrosive to the health of our democracy, our wellbeing and our planet and it must be stopped. As free citizens, it is our right and our duty to protest their unlawful encroachment into the most basic and fundamental aspect of our lives, the food that we eat and the laws that govern our lives.

Sculpture begins as a three-dimensional art; that is the ’speciality’it shares with architecture, the art most nearly related to it. But sculpture is solid, whereas architecture is hollow. Architecture becomes more sculptural as it tends to neglect its inner spatial functions, as Greek and Egyption architecture did. Sculpture, on the other hand, is never in any true sense architectural. That is one of the misunderstandings which has led to its undoing. Architecture must have a base-a bed or plinth from which it rises, and to which it is inevitably bound.

were you working on a lot of ideas at the same time or were you systematically progressing track by track? It was both... somehow. We started with 2, 3 tracks which we already played for the live-shows and where we felt that it could be a good starting point for the new record. From that moment on it was more a progression from one track to the next one. At least up to a certain level, where the basic idea of a piece was clear. When we were about to finish the album we had most of the tracks in a rough version. This means in the last two months we had to work on several pieces at the same time. From that moment on it was more a progression from one track to the next one. このmoreは副詞のmore? At least up to a certain level, where the basic idea of a piece was clear. When we were about to finish the album we had most of the tracks in a rough version. This means in the last two months we had to work on several pieces at the same time. At least up to a certain level, where the basic idea of a piece was clear. At least up to a certain level, where the basic idea of a piece was clear. When we were about to finish the album we had most of the tracks in a rough version. This means in the last two months we had to work on several pieces at the same time.
