Great-dayです。 ＞実はどちらかというとaccording toの方がわかりにくかったんです。according toに関してはなぜ○×の差が起こるのかわかりません。辞書には「（第三者などの権威）～によって」と書いていましたが、ここでは私（一人称）の「意見」か「経験」の差でどちらも当てはまりませんし... according toには自分では無い第三者（二人称も含む）によると、と言う意味合いが大変強いと感じます。 他の人の権威、知識、経験などを引用する時に使う表現であると言う事です。 ですから、according to him, according to you, と言いますが、according to meとは言わないのですね。 （言う時は、自分の知識を冗談ぽく自慢する時などですね） さて、このaccording to my opinionですが、普通は使わないと思います。 しかし、アメリカ人が使っているのを聞いたことがあります。 in my opinionの代わりに使っている、と言うことです。 私には間違いだといいたいですがいえません。 しかし、私自身は違和感を感じます。 なぜかというと、opinionはその人の一部であると私は見るからなんですね。つまり、私はaccording to meの変形と見るから違和感を感じる、と言うことなんです。 しかし例外はあると思います。 the project was carried out according to my opinion,という言い方をして、the project was carried out based on my opinion/following my opinionというような意味あいで使われた時には、適当に聞き流してしまうというのが本音かもしれません。 バツになるという事はその基準が使っている人と違うと私は考えています。 国語の授業ではバツになるだろうけど毎日使っている、と言う日本語にも例があると思います。 私の書いていることが学説で認められているわけでは決してありません。 （もっともどの学説でも反対者/非同意者はいますね） 私個人の感じによるものです。

In my opinion, the symbol of this story is drawing. The husband and Blind man help each other to make a drawing cathedral, which build a good relationship between them.In my opinion, the author wants to convey the importance of feeling instead of just seeing.

spendの使い方について質問です。 spendといえば、spend 時間 (in) ~ing という使い方がありますが、問題集の中に He spent a lot of years to realize this project. という文が出てきました。 副詞的用法の目的で、「その企画を実現させるために、何年も費やした。」かな？と思ったのですが、 それなら他の文でもto不定詞を使っていいのでは？と考えてしまいました。（to不定詞を選ぶと不正解になるのに） He spent three hours cleaning the room. などとrealizeという動詞の性質が違うからでしょうか？ ご意見いただけると幸いです。

添付ファイル文章にある our deification of the man makes a point to pretend he wasn't a politician. に関する質問です。 この文章を適切に理解できているか見ていただきたいです。 「その男に対する我々の神格化は、彼が政治家でなかったというようなふりをする主張である。」 to pretend he wasn't a politicianの to+不定詞の用法が気になります。 副詞的用法でなく、形容詞的用法で合っているでしょうか？ その場合、 名詞の内容説明をする役割として使われていると理解してあっているでしょうか？ 解説宜しくお願いします。

TEDの文章からです。 Clearly, the professors did not have as high of an opinion of my work as I did. の as high of an opinion の of は、なんでしょうか？ have a high opinion of ～ ： ～を高く評価する に as をつけて、 have as high a opinion of ～ という語順になるだけだったら分かるような気がするのですが、 of が highのあとにある理由がよくわかりません。 もとの理解から間違えているのでしょうか？ よろしくお願いいたします。
