昔、「書き換え」と言う問題の作り方がありました。その影には意味は一つで同じだが、二つ以上の言い方がある、と言う間違った前提があるからです。 言葉にはかなりの重なりがあり、対句などという修辞法もありますが、全く意味が同じ違った文はありません。あまりお時間を無駄になさいませんよう。

不定詞と節の書き換えについて質問です。 よろしくお願いします。 (1)He is believed to have been ill. の書き換えの解答が、 (2)=It is believed that he was ill. (3)=It is believed that he has been ill. と、２つのっていました。 訳は、 彼は病気だったと信じられている。 です。 私は、書き換えは、(2)つ目しかおもいつかなかったのですが、、 (2)と(3)の意味の違いはなんでしょうか？ (1)では、is とhave beenに時制のずれがあるのはわかりますので、 (2)のように、isとwasで使い分ければ、時制のずれは、十分表せると思います。 ですが、(3)も正解とのこと。確かに時制のずれは、is とhas beenでも表せるのはわかりますが。。。 書き換えの場合、(2)と(3)ではよりどちらが適切か、というのはありますでしょうか。 なお、これは河合塾発行の問題集です。 以上、よろしくお願い致します。

I thought having more work-life balance was enough to just feel better, but it turns out that doing something you are interested in and that uniquely leverages your skill set is important to feeling fulfilled. something that uniquely leverages your skill setということですよね？これの意味を教えてください。あと、important toのtoは不定詞で後に動詞の原形はこないのでしょうか？なぜ後に名詞形がくるのでしょうか？よろしくお願いします
