1. the claims made in support of this conclusion have not been shown to be correct 2. the claims made in support of this conclusion have not been shown to be relevant to it

> Literature professor: Critics charge that the work of C. F. Providence's best-known follower, S. N. Sauk, lacks aesthetic merit because it employs Providence's own uniquely potent system of symbolic motifs in the service of a political ideal that Providence - and, significantly, some of these critics as well - would reject. Granting that Sauk is more imitator than innovator, and that he maintained political views very different from those Providence maintained, it has yet to be shown that these facts make his writings any less subtler or powerfully crafted than those of his more esteemed mentor. So the critics's argument should be rejected. > 1. the claims made in support of this conclusion have not been shown to be correct この結論を支持するための主張が正しいということはまだ正確に示されていない > 2. the claims made in support of this conclusion have not been shown to be relevant to it この結論を支持するための主張が、それ (結論) と関係があるということがまだ示されていない * 私だったら 1.

    1) My parents (had not long been married) before they came to live in this city. 2) The dog was nowhere to be found to the great disapointment of the owner.

[1] RETURNS: All magazines are supplied with a 10% return allowance, provided that such returns are made within 9 months from our monthly statement dates. Claims for returns or any other claims in transit may not be deducted from your payments. Claims in transit are defined as those claims that have not yet been credited to your statement. In order for credits to be posted to your account promptly, please fax your return claims no later than the fifteenth of each month to Mr. XXX at (xxx) xxx-xxxx.

The question of the meaning of the word bara,'create,'has been previously touched upon;it has been acknowledged by good critics that it doesn't of itself necessarily imply 'to make out of nothing upon the simple ground that it is found [to be]uesd in cases where such a meaning would be inapplicable . But the difficultly of giving to it the interpretation contended for by Dr Buckland and of uniting with this the assumption of a six days' creation, such as that described in Genesis, at a comparatively recent period, lies in this, that the heaven itself is distinctly said to have been formed by the division of the waters on the second day. Consequently , until. The first Mosaic day of creation, there was no sky, no local habitation for the sun, moon and stars, even supposing those bodies to have been included in the original material. Dr Buckland doesn't touch this obvious difficulty, without which his argument that the sun and moon might have been contemplated as pre-existing , although they aren't stated to have been set in the heaven until the forth day, is of no value at all.

The Safety of GM Foods Dou you think genetically modified food is safe enough to eat? A number of critics believe that GM foods have been not tested enough and that they must be re-tested to make sure they are not a risk to our health. Some studies suggest that GM foods may be harmful and dangerous to our health. Scientists have discovered in a laboratory experiment that rats fed with GM corn have toxins in their kidneys and liver. More importantly, the same kind of corn has already been approved for use as food for humans in the United States. Another discovery about GM foods suggests that people may have an allergic reaction to the genes which have been newly introduced. For example, scientists were thinking about introducing a gene from Brazil nuts into soybeans. Due to this GM technology, new allergens could be created, and people who have allergies can have a serious allergic reaction to the products made with the GM soybeans. A study indicates that more than 12 million Americans, about 4% of the population, have food allergies. They may have serious allergies, even anaphylactic shock if they eat foods with allergens. This severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) may cause difficulty breathing and shock, ultimately leading to death.

It is refreshing to return to the often-echoed remark, that it could not have been the object of a Divine revelation to instruct mankind in physical science, man having had faculties bestowed upon him to enable him to acquire this knowledge by himself. This is in fact pretty generally admitted; but in the application of the doctrine, writers play at fast and loose with it according to circumstances. Thus an inspired writer may be permitted to allude to the phenomena of nature according to the vulgar view of such things, without impeachment of his better knowledge; but if he speaks of the same phenomena assertively, we are bound to suppose that things are as he represents them, however much our knowledge of nature may be disposed to recalcitrate. But if we find a difficulty in admitting that such misrepresentations can find a place in revelation, the difficulty lies in our having previously assumed what a Divine revelation ought to be. If God made use of imperfectly informed men to lay the foundations of that higher knowledge for which the human race was destined, is it wonderful that they should have committed themselves to assertions not in accordance with facts, although they may have believed them to be true? On what grounds has the popular notion of Divine revelation been built up? Is it not plain that the plan of Providence for the education of man is a progressive one, and as imperfect men have been used as the agents for teaching mankind, is it not to be expected that their teachings should be partial and, to some extent, erroneous? Admitted, as it is, that physical science is not what the Hebrew writers, for the most part, profess to convey, at any rate, that it is not on account of the communication of such knowledge that we attach any value to their writings, why should we hesitate to recognise their fallibility on this head?

"Mr. H", a British agent in Mexico, bribed an employee of the commercial telegraph company for a copy of the message. (Sir Thomas Hohler, then British ambassador in Mexico, claimed to have been "Mr. H", or at least involved with the interception, in his autobiography.) This ciphertext could be shown to the Americans without embarrassment. Moreover, the retransmission was enciphered using the older cipher 13040, so by mid-February the British had not only the complete text, but also the ability to release the telegram without revealing the extent to which the latest German codes had been broken—at worst, the Germans might have realized that the 13040 code had been compromised, but weighed against the possibility of United States entry into the war, that was a risk worth taking. Finally, since copies of the 13040 ciphertext would also have been deposited in the records of the American commercial telegraph, the British had the ability to prove the authenticity of the message to the United States government.

1)With respect to mammalian systems, only two SNARE complexes have been described for ER-derived vesicles that fuse with the cis Golgi. 2)In one, Sec22b was the v-SNARE and syntaxin5, membrin and rBet1 were the t-SNAREs in NRK cells. 3)In the other, also using NRK cells, Ykt6 was the v-SNARE with syntaxin5, GOS28, and rBet1 as the t-SNAREs. 4)Both Ykt6 and Sec22b have been shown to have similar N-termini. 5)Because of their N-terminal extensions to the coiled-coil domains of the synaptobrevin-like SNARE motif of most v-SNAREs, these SNAREs have been called longins. 6)VAMP7, an additional member of the longin family (TI-VAMP, SYBL1), has not been described as an ER-related SNARE, but has been shown to be predominately associated with endosomes in mammals. 7)VAMP7 and Sec22b have both been shown to have a widespread tissue distribution whereas Ykt6 is predominantly found in brain in a lysosome-related compartment .
