Well I probably would not be accepted to be a restaurant's chef, but my friends say I cook well. この I probably would not be accepted to be a restaurant's chef の部分の意味がわかりません。 誰がレストランシェフで 誰がacceptするのか？ ジャックはレストランシェフなのか？ but my friends say I cook well といっているので、友達はおいしいというけど レストラン的には受け入れてもらえない、でもそこそこの腕前だよと言いたいのか？？？ 頭こんがらがってきてわかりません（涙） どなたかスッキリ解説していただけたらありがたいです。

1. 誰がレストランシェフで 誰がacceptするのか？ これは単なる言葉のあやで、誰も本物のレストランシェフはいないし、受け入れる人もいないのではないかと思います。 もっとも会話の場が、レストランのキッチンで、ステラがシェフの帽子をかぶっているのなら彼女が本職のシェフで、就職希望者を受け入れる立場にあることは考えられます。 ２。ジャックはレストランシェフなのか？ ではありません。 ３。but my friends say I cook well といっているので、友達はおいしいというけど レストラン的には受け入れてもらえない、でもそこそこの腕前だよと言いたいのか？？？ はいおっしゃる通りです。 前後の関係で解釈は色々変わるので、これだけでは決定的なことは言えないと思います。

レストランのシェフになれるほどの腕前ではないけれど、友達は料理上手だねと言ってくれるんだよ。 プロレベルじゃないけど、アマチュアとしてはまずまずの部類には入るでしょうという感じじゃないですか？

表題の通りなのですが、 英会話をしていて、英単語や文章を「ど忘れたとき」＆「分からないとき」に、相手にどういう英文で伝えるべきでしょうか？ それぞれについて教えていただけますでしょうか？ 今までの実例ですと・・・ ●ど忘れしたとき・・・ たとえば、「彼女探してるの？」と聞かれたときに「別れたばっかりだけど、好きな人がいますよ」と言いたかったのですが、「好きな人がいますよ」の英訳をうまく思いつけなくて、「well, i want to tell you but forgot the appropriate english sentense. just a moment」といって、悩んで、分かったら、その英文を伝えます。 p.s. コミュニケーションとしては、もっとふさわしい方法があるでしょうか？ ●分からないとき 「well, i cannot find how should i say it in english.」といってから、 文法的にはかなり変だけど一応意味は伝わるかな、というかんじで話します。 p.s. これも、 コミュニケーションとしては、もっとふさわしい方法があるでしょうか？ 以上、よろしくお願いします。

旅行英会話：レストランでのやりとり。 レストランでのウェーターもしくはウェートレスに入店時に下記の内容を伝えたいのですが、少し私には複雑なので、英訳をお願いします。 ホノルルのレストランに少し無理なお願いをして予約しました。 実はそのレストランでショーに間に合わせて頂くように、予約時間を変更しました。そして、１７：３０（営業開始時間）から１８：２０までに料理を差配して頂くようお願いしましたところ、了解の返事を頂きました。そうしましたら、その店の支店がショーの会場のすぐそばにある（歩いて５分らしい）というので、そちらへ変更し予約し、私のリクエストも伝えるとのことですが、「念のためショーの件を伝えて欲しい」と添え書きがありました。ショーは１９：１５開始で、日本からクレジットで予約したバウチャーを持って、会場入り口に１８：４５に集合してチケットを受け取る予定となっています。そのことについては、最初に予約したお店も了解済みです。 My name is Taro Yamada.I have a reservation at five thirty.
