先日アメリカに行った際、殆どの場合How are you doing?と声をかけられるのに驚きました。何せ中学時代の授業ではバカみたいに「How are you? Fine, thank you and you?」などとしか言わされなかったもので。 How are you？とHow are you doing?の違いは何かあるのでしょうか？

英語上級者もしくは英米在住の方に質問です。 AさんがBさんにばったり会って「Hi A!, how are you?」と言って、それに対してBさんがAさんに「Hi!, how are you doing?」と返した場合？このやり取りを和訳すると、A:「おーAさん！元気ー？」B:「おー！元気してるー？」みたいな感じでしょうか？ また別の場面で、CさんがDさんに「How are you?」と言って、それに対してDさんがCさんに「I’ｍ fine, thank you. And you?」と返した場面を想像したとき、これはニュアンス的にはどのような和訳になるのでしょうか？ ご教授頂ければ幸いです。 ご回答よろしくお願いします。
