英語の「所有格＋ing」

使いますね。 頻度は．．．結構多いです。 でも会話では所有格自体が省略されたり ingが聞き取れない方がいたりしますけど。 例に挙げられているDo you mind my smoking?なんて 「私」だけダメで「他の人」はOKなんてケースのほうが稀なんで、あえて言わなかったりはします。 カタチにはあらわれにくいかもしれませんね。 参考意見

こんにちは、ヒマつぶしの質問なので、お時間があるかたのみご回答ください。 英語参考書では、「動名詞の意味上の主語」に関して、それが主語の場合は所有格、それ以外は目的格でもよい、もしくは目的格を推奨したりしています。 実際に、ネイテブの英語でも、Do you mind me smoking?という方が、Do you mind my smoking?というよりも多いと思います。 もちろん、もし日本で「動名詞の意味上の主語が所有格」とだけ教えたら、英語圏にでた途端にビックリしてしまうとは思うのですが、、、なぜコレだけ注釈なしにあたかも正しい英語のように書かれているのでしょうか？（二重否定等、他のネイテブが使用するくずれた表現には「最近～という表現が広まっている。」等と注釈がつきますよね？） 本当にお時間があるかたのみ、お付き合いください。

平素よりお世話になります。 動名詞を目的語にとる動詞を、ノートにいろいろ書き加えていたら、 give up ~ing, put off ~ing, enjoy ~ing, mind ~ing 等等と どんどん増えてゆき、覚えるのは効率が悪いんじゃないかと思う ようになりました。そこで、to 動詞を目的語にとる動詞を覚えて、 後は全部、（TOEICの穴埋めで聞かれたら）ing に丸をつけよう、と 思うにいたりました。 この甘い考えは、TOEIC対策で通用するのでしょうか？ もし、通用する場合、plan to do, need to do, agree to do, propose to do, 等以外に何を覚えれば良いでしょうか？ 一方で、remember forget cease など、両方の形を取り得て、更に 異なる意味も覚えておかない単語も幾つもあるわけですよね？？ 例えば、上の３つ以外に何を覚えておけば良いでしょうか？？ いつも質問ばかりで恐縮ですが、よろしくお願い申し上げます。

- もちろんの意味 not at all
Do you mind my smoking here? No, not at all. No, not at all. は「ええ、いいですよ」という意味と書いてありますが、なぜ「もちろん」の意味なのに、No なのでしょうか？ 同義語に、No, I don't. Of course not. Certainly not. と書いてありますが、これも疑問です。 それとも、意味は関係なく丸暗記した方がいいのでしょうか。 回答お願いします。
