ＶＯＡのビデオが聞き取れないのですが。

初めまして。 英語学習初級レベルのため 詳しく説明頂けると助かります。 宜しくお願いします。 but he was shot because the kid was a black and a policeman is white. という文章なのですが a blackで黒人という事を強調するために 冠詞をつけてa black と言っているのでしょうか？ whiteに冠詞が無いのは 白人という例え方ではなく 単純に白いという表現に変えた為 冠詞が無いのでしょうか？ 表現の違いの問題でしょうか？ a policeman is現在形で the kid was過去形になっているのですが a policeman が過去形にならないのは どうしてでしょうか？ 宜しくお願いします。

有難うございます。 1. Florida が聞き取れてませんでした。 2. 何度聞いても、 approach at all が聞き取れません。 ch を発音が全くです。 Stand Your Ground というのも知ることができました。 まだまだ勉強が足りないようです。
