もっと重要な違いがありますよ。 Tom will talk to them Tom will speak with them が普通です。talk with はほとんど使いません。なぜなら「talk」は基本的に 「話し合う」で、「speak」は「一方的に話しかける」だからです。 Tom will speak to them. というと、「一方的に何かを言う」になるので、あえて、 to を with に変えて、「話し合う」という意味合いを出します。

英語のinとatの違いがわかりません。 in the roomや、in my houseなどはinになるのに、 in the airportや、in the stationではなく、at the airportや、at the stationとなるのでしょうか？先生に聞いてもあいまいな答えしか言ってくれません。 中学生でも、わかるような説明をお願いします。 説明文は長くなっても大丈夫です。
