ＡＴ率が高いというと、米国と日本、あとは中東、東南アジア、オーストラリアが７０％くらいのようですね。結構ばらばら。 欧州でのＡＴ（含セミＡＴ）の普及は、時間の問題じゃないかと思っています。セミＡＴの開発がこれほど盛んなのが、その証拠でしょう。 これは個人的な意見で間違えているかもしれませんが、欧州でＭＴの普及率が高いのは、環境問題に対する意識の違いではないかと思います。ディーゼルも同じでしょう。多少不便だったり面倒だったりしても、効率の良いＭＴやディーゼルを積極的に選択しようという土壌があるのだと思います。 逆にいえば、ＭＴと同効率のセミＡＴや燃費で上回るＣＶＴによって、かなりのペースでＡＴ化が進むのではないでしょうか。５年後にＡＴ率８０％もありえるかも？

コンパクトーカーでもキビキビ走れるのは断然MTです。 ツインクラッチはMTと同等の効率だけでどコストが高い。 CVTは効率が極悪の上に（CVTが低燃費なんて話はほとんどペテンのレベル）レスポンスが悪い。 当分はMT優勢でしょう。

日本のATも欧州のMTも、広い意味で『文化』だから、変わらないと思う。 変るにしても、50年とか100年後とかって話じゃないかな。 日本の場合は急激だったけどね…。

若干カテ違いかなとも思うのですが・・・。 普通文字で書くと「MT」「AT」と表し、「マニュアル」「オートマ」とか云ったりしますよね？ 十数年くらい前から私の周りにマニュアル車を「ミッション車」とか単に「ミッション」と云う人達が増えているのです。 特に免許はあるけど、車にそこ迄思い入れは無いと云った感じの人たちに多いのです。 思わず「ミッション？デ・ニーロが出てた映画か？」とか云いそうになるのですが、「ミッション車」と云う人達があまりにも多くていちいち「ぢぁ”オートマティックトランスミッション”のミッションはどこに行ったの？」とか、云っても切りがないので聞き流してますが、これは私の地域だけの現象なのでしょうか？ 皆さんの所ではどうですか？ 聞いてて気持ち悪いんですよね。

先日、夫の車をマツダMPV（AT車）に買い替えしました。 これまでずっとマニュアル車に乗っていた夫は、上り坂でシフトが急に変わるあのショックや、アクセルを離すと無駄にシフトが下がるショックなどにストレスを感じて仕方ないそうです。 私は、プジョー307(AT車)に乗っているのですが、同じように最初はシフトのアップ＆ダウンに癖があり、乗り始めた当初は大変気になりました。しかし、ディーラーの方に、「積載しているコンピュータが学習して、だんだん私の癖を覚えて合ってくる」と言われ、言われたようにだんだん気にならなくなり、今ではまったく気にならないようになったので、夫にもその話をして、励ましているのですが一向になじまないようです。 プジョーのディーラーの方には、ここ10～15年くらいに作られた車には全てコンピュータが搭載されていると言われたので、きっとマツダMPVも学習してくるはずだと思っていたのですが、そうでない車もあるのでしょうか、教えてください。
