和訳をお願いします Today, about 10 percent of the world's population does not have enough water. This number may rise to 35 percent in 2025. What is more, water which is used in cities and industrial areas is often affected by pollution. Shortage of fresh water also affects food production. People throughout the world may suffer from serious food shortages in the future. We live in a country where we can get clean water just by turning on the faucet, but we need to try to secure more stable sources of fresh water for everyone in the world.

今日、世界の人口の約10パーセントには、十分な水がありません。 この数は、2025年に35パーセントに上がるかもしれません。 さらに、都市と工業地域で使用される水は、汚染でしばしば影響を受けます。 また、淡水の不足は食糧生産に影響します。 世界中の人々は、将来、重大な食糧不足に悩むかもしれません。 私たちが蛇口をつけるだけで上水を手に入れることができる国に住んでいますが、私たちは、淡水の、より安定した源を世界の皆に固定しようとする必要があります。 これじゃダメですかね^^;

    和訳をお願いします Have you ever wondered why the Earth looks so blue from space? This is because about three quarters of the Earth's surface is covererd by water. This may sound like we have a lot of water to drink. But in reality, only 3 percent of the Earth's water is fresh, and most of it exists as ice. Half of the water which exists as fresh water is found deep under the ground. In all, only about 0.05 percent of the Earth's water is fresh and drinkable. All living things carry water inside their bodies.For example,more than 60 percent of the human body is water.We need about 40 liters of water inside our bodies all the time but we lose some water every day. The water our bodies lose each day is about 2.5 liters. So we constantly need to put back the water we lose. We get water from drinks and the food we eat, such as fruit and vegetables. We need fresh water for our survival, but it is scarce and sometimes difficult to get.

    Does the Earth have the natural resources to support this many people? Unfortunately, the answer to this question depends on information we don't have. For example, we don't know how people will choose to live in the future. We don't know what their standard of living will be. We also don't know what new technologies will be available in the future. We do know that the Earth's natural resources are limited. Fresh water, for example, is crucial for health and food production. However, more than 97% of the water on Earth is salt water, which is poisonous to both people and crops. Only 3% of the water on Earth is fresh water, and three quarters of that fresh water is frozen at the North and South Poles. Today, the demands for fresh water is greater than the supply in roughly eighty countries around the world. By 2025, scientists predict that forty-eight countries will have chronic shortages of water. At present, disalinization, or the removal of salt from salt water, is not a solution to the shortage of fresh water. It takes a lot of energy to remove the salt from ocean water, and that makes the disalinization process very expensive.

    和訳をお願いします 長くなってすみません(>_<) Although the population growth rate is expected to slow down, an increasing population still creates problems. First of all, with more people in the world, more food must be grown to feed them, though the amount of land we can use for agriculture is limited. According to the FAO, grain consumption has increased by 200 percent since 1961, but the amount of farmland remains almost unchanged. Second,a growing population is harmful to the environment. With more people and increased human activities, it is natural for the amount of CO2 in the air to increase. This speeds up global warming. Scientists expect that temperatures will rise by 0.4℃ in the next 20 years. An increasing pollution brings problems not only to developing nations, but also to the whole world. If we continue on our current path, the earth's resources may disappear before we know it.

    以下の文の和訳をお願いします。 With limited surface water and depleting ground water resources, desalination is the key to meeting the inexorable rise in demand for water resulting from economic growth and expanding populations. Already, more than half of all the world’s desalination capacity is located in the Arab countries. Yet, in the United Arab Emirates, to take just one example, seawater desalination requires about 10 times more energy than pumping water from wells. Costs are projected to increase by 300 percent between 2010 and 2016 according to Masdar’s estimates.

The long-term goal of the initiative is to have a facility operating at commercial scale by 2020. Middle Eastern and North African countries are home to 6.3 percent of the world’s population, but the region contains only 1.4 percent of the world’s fresh water. The Gulf region in particular has the highest water scarcity levels in the world, according to the World Bank.

    お願いします。 Can we continue to import food and virtual water like this? Developing countries,where some of the food imported to Japan is produced,may not export to us in the future. They'll need all the food they produce to feed their own growing populations. In that case,we may have to produce much more of our own food in Japan. For this we will nedd a large amount of water. If that happens,we won't be able to use water as freely as we do now. You can probably understand now that our lives are sustained not only by visible water,but also by invisible,virtual water. We should keep this virtual water in mind and remember that water is a limited resource. We nedd to use it as carefully and as wisely as possible.

If you are young, aging parents may not be your biggest concern, but they are a mojor concern for the governmental, social, and financial leaders of the world, particularly for those in japan. The parcentage of people over age 65 is increasing worldwide, from about 7 percent in 2005 to a predicted 15 percent by 2005. Japan already has one of the largest over-65 populations. According to population projections prepared by the Statistics Bureau of Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, 22.5 percent of the Japanese population was expected to be 65 or older in 2010. They expect that number ti increase to 33.2 percent by 2040, resulting in Japan having the largest percentage of over 65-year-old in the world. What effects will such an enormous number of elderly people have on society.

    Over coming decades, though, such fundamental factors will matter more. A good guess is that food production will have to rise by 70% by 2050 to keep pace with population growth, the explosion of developing countries’ megacities and the changes in diet that wealth and urbanisation bring. Big increases will be harder to achieve than in the past because there is little unfarmed land to bring into production, no more water and, in some places, little to be gained by heaping on more fertiliser. Climate change may well exacerbate these problems. For the first time since the 1960s the yields of the world’s most important crops, wheat and rice, are rising more slowly than the global population. The world cannot feed today’s 7 billion people properly. How on earth can it feed the expected 9 billion in 2050? どなたかお願いしますm(__)m

    Generally speaking, countries with a high standard of living consume more water than those with a low standard of living. The United States consumes by far the greatest amount of water: an average that amounts to 7200 liters per American each day. In comparison, total daily consumption of water per person amounts to 4800 liters in Canada, 1400 liters in Britain, and 1200 in China. In Japan, total water consumption amounts to 2600 liters per person per day: an amount that corresponds to filling up a bathtub thirteen times.  Water on our planet is not an unlimited resource. If we keep using water at the present rate, we will suffer from constant shortage in the near future. This could lead to nations fighting over scarce water supplies, just as they have fought to get gold and petroleum in the past. 和訳をしていて、途中から良く分からなくなりました。 水資源についての英文です。和訳例をお願い致します。
