anyの使い方について教えてください。
「その本を手に入れようとしましたが、どの店でも入手できませんでした。」という日本語を英語にするのですが、解答例に“I tred to get the book, but I'm afraid it was not available at any bookstoe.”とあります。“at any bookstore”のところは“at any bookstores”では駄目ですか？

any 複数は受験英語を除いては問題なく使われる表現ですが、この英文では単数のほうがいいですね。なんとなく。感覚の問題。any 複数は any 単数と意味としては同じ意味で使用されます。単数、複数のニュアンスの違いは英文によって異なるのでヒトコトでは説明できません。

「この部屋には本が一冊もない」という文章を英訳しろ、との問題があります。 私の答えは There is not any book in this room. なのですが解答は There are not any books in this room. になっていました。私の答えでは間違いなのでしょうか。 またこの問題に対してはnoを使って答えることも可能だと思うのですが、、 There is no book in this room. There are no books in this room. のどちらの答えが正解なのでしょうか。 お手数をおかけしますが、どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。

こんにちは。はじめまして。実は、中学のテストで『「I am very hungry.」と「I can't walk any more.」の2文をtoo～to doを使って1文にせよ』という問題が出まして。no more＝not～any moreなので、too toを使った時点でnotがなくなるからany moreは削るべきかと思いあえて書きませんでした。ところが、先生の模範解答は「I am too hungry to walk any more.」とあり。こんな英文はありうるのでしょうか？どなたか教えてください…。よろしくおねがいします。
